Today I visited the new local Five Guys near me. I had tried Five Guys a few years ago and thought it was ok but pricey for a burger joint. When I got in line and checked out the menu and prices I can't say that I was shocked since we live in the post covid, supply chain, and current government inflicted inflation era, but was rather very disappointed to put it politely. As I waited for my order to come up I started mulling over the cost of my food. I bought 1 bacon cheeseburger, 1 large fry and a chocolate shake. The total = $24.87. Before I ordered I seriously considered walking out because I am old school and don't believe you should ever pay that kind of money at a fast food place especially for a burger and fries. Whether you consider a burger gourmet or not. The more I thought about it the angrier I got. So as I received my order I asked the Five Guys server how much they start people out to work there. He said about $12.00 per hour plus an additional .50 cents per hour for watching a training video. So do the basic math. You would have to work 2 hours at Five Guys to purchase the meal I bought there today. To me that is absolutely wrong. It is a sin. It is price gouging for sure. I am not trying to slam Five Guys because it is probably similar in many places these days. Needless to say I will never return. You may say, "Well, nobody broke your arm to buy in the first place." That is true. I wanted to see for myself what I was paying for. This is not hearsay. To be totally fair, the service was adequate, food was good, and portions were a good amount. But in no way do those qualities justify the price they are charging. What is wrong with...
Read moreIt’s a Five Guys. No complaints. I thought the staff were friendly and polite. My order was a little messed up but it wasn’t a huge blunder and honestly it was pretty loud in there—be prepared to speak clearly. I’m not a fan of any Five Guys interior as it’s very bare and boring… but as far as this specific location goes it was cleanly and well kept. Bathroom was clean. The food is expensive, but no worse than, say, Applebees. It was roughly $60 for three burgers, two fries, and three shakes. Zero complaints about the food. Try the bacon in a shake…...

If you handle money, take your gloves off and put new ones on.....starting to see these young kids everywhere using cell phones lock them up till after your shift, that should be a policy amongst other establishments. Also, if you go outside for a smoke break, good God, take your gloves off and wash your hands...before...
