Romeo's Pizza — Restaurant in Lorain

This is the third time ordering from Romeo’s. I almost made a review after the first two times, saying how good the pizza was and planned to give them 5 stars. First time was great. Second time was great. Third time…yikes. We placed the order and left to pickup right away. Got there in maybe 10 mins. Pizza was ready. But when he brought it home, I noticed it wasn’t very hot. After having a piece, it was just slightly warmer than room temp. My husband said when he carried it out of Romeo’s to the car he noticed the box wasn’t hot like the time before. Not sure why the first two times it was so hot on pickup and not this time. Maybe there was already a pizza unused and we got that one, idk but it was very dry, and little to barely any sauce. It had more of the cardboard crust texture. We did use one of their offers/deals so maybe that plays into how much or little care is put in to the order. Maybe we will try again in the future. But for now, we will go back to our other usual pizza spots. I am not a fan of inconsistent pizza places. Maybe it’s the employee that matters here - maybe we had the better pizza maker the first two times? Idk. But the only reason I gave 3 stars and not 2 is bcuz the cheese bread seemed normal. Had it once at a friend's house. It was very good. I figured I would give it a shot next time we're too lazy to cook. That was today. I asked if they had any specials on a large pizza etc. The employee was very nice. They said "yes, a half sheet and bread sticks for 23$." I immediately thought "that's a lot!" But I assumed it was fancy ingredients etc. After adding 2 toppings it was very near $30. When I got there they had a super tacky, company mandated tip jar that just screams "we don't pay our employees enough" this meal was essentially the equivalent of a big square deal and cheesy bread from Marcos. Except Marcos would have been about $15. And it would have been far better. I was really expecting a lot I guess. But in actuality it was not as good as little Ceasars. I worked at the Romeos in Huron, Bill who is the manager of the Lorain Location dropped a lid on the floor on 9/20/23 and did not wash it. The guy is lazy, I know because I worked at the one in Huron with him. If this is how he helps out a neighboring store, can you imagine how he runs the one full time?
