This is a small deli style place where I was immediately greeted when I walked in and my order was taken. I can’t believe how fast these folks are and how busy they are too. They had a huge catering order right before and after me plus a couple dozen folks just walk in-my food was still ready in under 10 minutes. I came tow mornings in a row and got a breakfast burrito and then a machacha burrito-they are both fantastic and absolute must have items! Their menu is so much more with tons of plates, subs, sandwiches (both hot and cold). I can’t believe they make breakfast burritos for $10 cuz it seems like everyone has raised prices so much, but that makes this place even more amazing. Every person was friendly and I’m not exaggerating when I saw that the cooks, the cashier and the welcome greeter guy I saw all give different people hugs, or high fives or personalized greetings and even teasing some of the well known customers. Makes me wish I lived around here and not in another state so I could be a part of the family atmosphere they...
Read moreOriginally from here but live somewhere else now. Every time I come back though, I’m most excited to get a warm Nick’s burrito. More than seeing family, friends, the ocean, or feeling the salty air on my face, my heart yearns for a warm Nick’s burrito. It’s the only thing that feels right in such a crazy time in humanity’s history. Come what may, let the screens consume our lives and the AI take over. As long as I know that a warm Nick’s burrito will be waiting for me every time I come back to Los Al, I’ll be ok. My only wish is that nothing changes. I don’t wanna see a swiveling Square screen upon payment, I don’t want a revised menu, I don’t want an updated interior. I wanna go in, never be quite sure where to line up, have them tell me it’ll be a 30-minute wait, and for me to say, “that’s alright. No worries.” Because you can’t rush art and you can’t hurry love. Let the chorizo reduce and the potatoes fry. Take as long as you need. Cuz I’ll still be here, waiting for the sweet embrace of a warm...
Read moreI was looking for a good breakfast burrito and saw lots of good reviews for Nick's II. The pictures also factored into my decision to give them a try. I walked in and was immediately greeted. Since this was my first time, a nice gentleman gave me a couple of suggestions. I went with the classic breakfast burrito.
I couldn't wait to try it. The burrito was nicely filled with a good mix of chorizo, bacon, eggs, potato & cheese. I experienced all the flavors in each bite and it was really good. The size wasn't massive but definitely big enough to take care of your hunger. It also came with a nice side of salsa (more than just a sample size) and also a spoon which came in handy to get salsa in all the right places!
They also have other items from breakfast & lunch on the menu as well as a great selection of chips, fountain drinks & coffee, and a variety of bottled drinks.
I would highly recommend Nick's II for breakfast burritos. I also plan to return to try other breakfast burritos and other things...
