Valentino's Pizza — Restaurant in Los Alamitos

Please don’t misunderstand this review. The ranking of three for atmosphere is not a negative. This is not a place that is about atmosphere. It’s about great pizza. Been Valentino’s once before and I remembered it being quite delicious but I’ve been so long since I’ve been in this area I didn’t quite remember why I liked it. I put the order in online and the gentleman on the other side said it’ll be ready in 20 minutes Randy. I got there 20 minutes later it had just come out of the oven and was piping hot. This is where atmosphere comes in. Nothing fancy about this place and I would never stay there and eat my pizza. It’s in a busy strip mall like area on the corner of too busy streets. Again, that’s not a negative. It’s just where it is and a great location for them because they get a lot of traffic. It’s just not a place that you wanna sit and hang out and eat your pizza. Now, if your goal is to take that pizza and go to your kids house and have them say,” man this pizza is great. I love the crust on it and the sauce is delicious.” Then this is exactly the place you’re looking for. I agreed with their analysis. I like thin crust pizza, and it was done perfectly. First off, they gave my order away to a random person without confirming her name or order and tried to say it was my fault. I was in the store when she returned the order and our orders were similar, but not the same. I then had to wait for another 45 mins for them to make me another order. Then the owner still charged me full price and offered no compensation for his mistake. When I brought up the fact that there should be compensation for a mistake like this, he tried to give me the garlic bread from the previous order. The lady had already went home, opened the order, and brought it back. Given that we are still in the COVID era, I refused to accept the garlic bread. When I refused the garlic bread, he then offer me a can of soda. My order was 50+ dollars. This guy is rude and cheap. I will never order from this establishment again. Extremely poor customer service.

I ordered a large pizza on October 12, 2024. My entire experience was very poor. First, the two men working here don't greet customer, don't make eye contacts, don't smile. It feels like they want their customers to go away. After pizza is baked, they don't say thank you or goodbye. There is no courtesy to customer! What's also a surprise is I watched them put chicken breasts in a baking sheet next to pizza going through the oven belt. I have never seen any restaurants cook chicken this way.
