Smh… where do I begin? As a frequent consumer of 323 hibachi for several years, I hate to say that my most recent experiences with the truck have been extremely disappointing! The customer service has never been pristine or inviting so don’t expect a warm greeting and that’s expected when you have teenagers working on your truck who lack both couth and decorum. Secondly, the sauce is what makes the food!! Without the sauce, the food is still good depending on the time that you order or visit the truck on Venice but if you go at night your food may be as underwhelming as mine. Imagine having a dry over cooked piece of salmon with nothing on it (no seasoning; no teriyaki sauce etc) on top of plain fried rice with no eggs or veggies. The young man taking orders last night was too busy horseplaying and he failed to inform myself and several other customers about them being out of vegetables etc. I also requested to BUY more crack sauce (THAT THE TRUCK SELLS) and was told that the truck was low on sauce and no extras were being given or sold just for him to pull out a 1 gallon plastic pitcher completely filled to the top with “crack sauce!!!” My encounters and experience with 323 hibachi has been both good and bad and I’ve continued to support and frequent this business hoping the owners will make improvement because the food is usually good and worth every penny but lately it has been extremely underwhelming. I hope that the new truck in Inglewood succeeds and maybe some day the venice truck will get it together completely but the customer service and food last night on Venice was diabolical and definitely not worth another dollar or visit. Bring integrity back to your business because your supporters remember where you started!! Some of us have been there...
Read moreFood was ok, a decent portion but not very flavorful. I ordered on their website, and as you can see by my order ticket, I ordered three sauces for each meal. I picked it up and when I got home, I saw the only sauce I got 2 of was their crack sauce. Only 1 teriyaki, and only 1 butter. And 2 packets of Sriracha I didn't order. And I didn't take anything out of the butter, that was all I got. I dunno, is there a butter shortage or something? If your food depends on the sauces for flavor, maybe you shouldn't shortchange your customers on the sauces they ordered.
The second issue I got was their online ordering had prices way higher than their actual prices on their menu. I got 1 entree and 1 combo plate, and paid $10 extra! Plus tax on that $10. This is on their own website, I didn't search for them on Uber eats or anything. This is the website they link to on their insta. And I went and picked it up. What am I paying extra for, a computer to print out a ticket that someone doesn't read and follow? If you like them and want to order ahead, try calling. Don't order online unless you like the feeling of being fleeced. As for me. I'll just not order...
Read moreThis place used to be good! This was my first time back in nearly 3 years. Man, I should have listened to the reviews and ordered elsewhere. I ordered the BOGO chicken plate through Uber Eats pickup. It took about 45 mins to get my order, which I can dismiss since it was during their dinner rush. The chicken was extremely dry and had zero flavor, veggies were lifeless and appeared to have been cooked twice. I only received one garlic butter for two plates. When, I asked for extra yum yum sauce, they charged $1 each. Which I don't mind paying for if the food is good. However, even with the extra sauce, it was absolutely painful trying to finish the plate. I never waste food and I ended up tossing the second plate. It's unfortunate, because I live close by and love hibachi. I really want to support 323, but this visit will...
