4100 Bar — Restaurant in Los Angeles

I have never had bad enough service that I wanted to write a review for a place but I had to after waiting at the bar for thirty minutes to order a beer three times, then being told after the third time they didn’t have it. I ordered a drink, waited ten minutes while multiple people behind me ordered and were served, then he asked me and my friends who came up to me at the bar for our orders again, so they ordered and I reordered. Whole time he’s talking to other people and immediately making their drinks as they walk up to the bar, very intentionally not serving us. He finally makes my friends’ drinks, puts them down to play with someone’s dog for five minutes, then serves my friends with unwashed hands. As he serves them he asks me AGAIN what I want, I give him my order for a third time, then he says they’re out of that. By the way, I wasn’t ordering some crazy obnoxious drink to make, I was ordering a beer. I have no clue what prompted him to be so dismissive, looking at me then going up to other people who just came up to the bar and taking their orders instead. He also closed out my friends’ tab without them asking, as if to tell us all to screw off for doing such a terrible thing as asking for drinks at a bar. Did nothing to this dude and he decided to deliberately waste my time in the most passive aggressive petty way I’ve ever experienced, and gets dog hair in my friends’ drinks. Overall very bad service. The bartender Jenny came over and gave me a drink menu for my friend and I to share and then disappeared for the next 5 minutes. Mind you she was the only person behind the bar yet, she still felt okay going over to a group of people that were very likely her friends and make conversation. When she finally took our order she stopped between making my friend's drink and mine to serve another group that had just walked in. When she came back with my drink I gave her my card and she charged me for both drinks. Nine times out of ten bar tenders will ask if you want both drinks on one card. She did not. Then the drinks themselves were pretty awful. When I got up to tell her she just shrugged and said ok. Did not offer to make a different drink or anything else that she should have. Honestly if you're going to order drinks don't order whiskey sours or Moscow mules. At least...

Ladies please be careful of certain bouncers/security there! One in specific (bald, short, bushy eyebrow, male on a tuesday night holding the metal detector) took photos of my friend and i’s chest while scanning us. he had his phone out and camera open. i visibly saw my chest tattoo in the small corner indicating the mosy recent photo taken. Mind you i have a black 5in tattoo on my chest. it’s not something you’d miss.

it was our first time here for a friend’s birthday and we’re so disappointed and don’t plan on coming to this establishment again.

Ladies and gentlemen please stay safe on your nights out. The ambiance and vibes here are amazing. It’s a shame that they have staff like this.

We brought this up to the man bussing tables around, but basically didn’t do anything about the situation. We left soon after because of how disgusted our 10+ party felt.
