November 2024 It's HUGE! That's what she said. Lol.
Came in here today with a buddy since we were in the area hanging out. This spot is definitely some of the best Mexican food in the area.
It's a order at the counter, and they bring the food out to you kind of place. Prices are definitely fair and reasonable.
You know you're in a good spot when you see all the local construction guys coming in here for their breakfast and lunch orders.
I love this place, my kind of spot for good tasting food served quick.
Today I got the breakfast burrito, and it's huge! That's what she said. LOL. $11, Believe it or not. One of the best prices around. Comes out to like $12.50 with tax. I definitely feel like you're getting your money's worth, since the burrito is about 10 inches long, and around 3 inches in diameter at least. It's packed with eggs, potatoes, ham, and some bacon. It's wrapped in paper and foil better than a Christmas present. The staff in the kitchen definitely packs that sucker in there.
Oh! The best part of all is that they do have a self-serve salsa bar, with different types of varieties of spicy, burn your underwear, to mild, and everything in between. Lol.
I will definitely be back here! This is going to be part of my usual rotation of burrito spots to visit. Next time I think I'll try lunch, their tacos look amazing, and also what other people were ordering around me looks so damn good. So much food, so little time. But I will be back for sure to try it all at some point.
They would love to earn your business. Please mention this review if you do come and...
Read moreI ordered a breakfast buritto for pick-up and requested it be cut in half. Upon arriving home and eating it, I was not only extremely disappointed in the taste, but the small portion as well. It was certainly not worth the $11 they charge for it. Additionally, their menu states they put potatoes in the buritto, yet after calling them to complain there was no potatoes in it, nor was it cut in half, I was advised they don’t use potatoes and use hash browns instead, as well as don’t cut burritos in half. When I called the order in and requested it to be cut in half, I wasn’t advised they don’t cut buritto’s in half. Regardless, I wonder what was so difficult with accommodating my simple request to cut their lousy tasting buritto in half? There are 4 other Mexican fast food restaurants in the local area, I’ve ordered breakfast burritos from in the past and have asked them to cut them in half and they always have without issue. In fact, Flooky’s in Chatsworth automatically cuts their breakfast burritos in half. I thought I would give them a try since they are a little closer to my house. Nevertheless, I will never go back there and they lost a customer for life.
UPDATE: I WOKE UP THE FOLLOWING MORNING WITH A VERY UPSET STOMACH FROM EATING THEIR BURITTO.
In regards to the owners response to my negative post, I called the restaurant during their operating hours to discuss matter further with him and nobody answered the phone and only got a Voicemail message and hung up. Add terrible customer...
Read moreAlthough they still had the halal menu displayed, apparently I was the only one ordering Halal tacos bc I went back for more and they let me know they don't carry halal meat anymore since they would only cook it once a week as explained by the cashier girl. That's too bad and should have marketed their halal cooking much better. It is very uncommon to have a halal Mexican restaurant and I thought they had something special. For that reason I removed one star. The second star removed is bc they forgot to give me the rice and beans that came with the combo I ordered. It was the 2nd time it happened. The only item I order now is the mojarra frita. I've tried their MOJO de ago shrimp when they first opened, and it was not good at all, very flavorless. So I won't order shrimp anymore. Unless maybe they have a new chef. My family likes the breakfast here. It's too bad I won't be...
