Amour Bakery — Restaurant in Los Angeles

A locals spot for sure. Good hours, nice offerings, reasonable prices. The conchas were ok, I prefer the sugar layer to be thicker and crispier, the bread had a little too much yeast. Overall ok for .50 each concha. Beautiful presentation. I think they're more famous for their custom cakes and their pastries.

Street parking is available on the side. They accept Apple Pay. Nice vibe inside, is a little party market with snacks and some other offerings.

Two critiques I would make was when they were boxing up my conchas. The guy helping me out was very nice, so this has nothing to do with his character. He fumbled my box and it fell on the floor, he picked it up and he still used it for the conchas... number two they needed counter space so he pulled up an industrial gray trash can, placed my box on the rim of the trash can touching the black plastic trash bag and filled my conchas on the trash can. Mind you even if the trash bag was fresh and clean, it's still a bad look. They simply just need to clear up a designated counter space for packaging up orders.

This is the second time that I have ordered and I no longer recommend this shop. I placed an order for cupcakes two weeks in advance, sent a deposit as requested, and gave a pick up time. On pick up day, I sent them a text to confirm that the cupcakes were ready for pick up at 10 am and I was told that they forgot to write down the pick up time. I told them that since it was 9:50 am, I was already on my way to pick them up. I called several times and she did not answer. When she answered, she told me that she forgot to write down the pick up time and that I had not paid the deposit (when I in fact did). She told me that the cupcakes would be ready in 30 minutes and she would text me when they were ready. She texted me an hour later. Once I picked the cupcakes up, some of the cupcakes were not like the design I had sent them. But because of the need for the cupcakes, I just took them as is. In conclusion, they're unprofessional...

Cake and pastries are good, but customer service isn’t great. If only her customer service was as good as her cakes. She tells you a time to pick up your order and you end up waiting forever because they’re not even done it.

I went to go pick up a cake that my aunt had ordered for my moms birthday and I get there and my aunt texts me to tell me that the cake shouldn’t have any type of gold. I notice that there is gold on the cake and I tell her to take it off and she takes off the gold part and throws it across the table and says “There the gold is off” On the receipt it says “no gold” I tell her and she still makes up some excuse for it. Very unprofessional. Third and last time I come here. I come here because it’s at the corner so it’s very accesible, but I’m giving her no more chances. Unprofessional and very rude.
