Amuse Eatery — Restaurant in Los Angeles

Food was SO good! Unexpectedly so for a hotel restaurant. Server was so great, kind, helpful and generous. I was tired from a very long drive and wanted a quick bite so I just ordered a cheeseburger with a small Caesar salad on the side. Salad was fresh, chilled perfectly and the dressing was delicious. Possibly the best cheeseburger I've ever had at a restaurant. Nice thick burger patty, done medium as I asked, fresh, soft brioche bun - not too thick as they sometimes are and toasted perfectly. So yummy! My server gave me a "generous pour" of Pinot Grigio - I probably looked like I need it, lol! And I got a chocolate mouse type piece of cake with caramel to take back to the room. It was very good, too. The only reason this isn't a 5 star review is just because the ambiance of the restaurant wasn't very nice - surprising for a Marriott - maybe unusual for some reason? It's not exactly a stand-alone restaurant, it kind of starts in the bar area and overflows to a back room - not well lit and just felt a bit "cafeteria-ish". Ate here twice for the convenience of having the restaurant within the hotel. While the service was attentive and friendly, the food was beyond disappointing. My first visit I got the steak which arrived rather cold and tasteless- clearly overdone (I had requested medium-rare). My second visit I ordered a burger, which again arrived very overdone. We had also ordered cauliflower bites as a starter and we were told about 40 minutes after ordering that they were out. The food was essentially tasteless which is very disappointing given the price. The food also took a very long time which was strange as my party (of 2) were the only people present. While we were comped for the experiences both times, I feel it imported to write an honest review in the hopes that both future guests are warned, and the company sees that...

2/26/2023 - The Amuse Eatery & Cocktails at Warner Center Marriott is able to make a pina colada drink while many other Marriott’s namesake brand can't due to a noise reason or more labor intensive work.

Thank Erick for willing to make an authentic pina colada drink I have not yet been able to get at other Marriott hotels for a long time.
