Dont know where to start but i know i have to leave review here so they can improve their service/business as an only Mongolian restaurant in LA. I ve been to many mongolian restaurants in US and Korea before So i cant help but express my disappointment here.
Starting off with service, every time i bring my foreign friends here, they leave surprised with how the server looks so down and moody. It makes the whole restaurant look boring and depressed. Noted, no one wants to come back for a bad customer service.
Food wise, they have nice presentation, but please improve your quality and taste. The gulyash we ordered was unchewable and had bland flavor. Add some salt or something that can bring the heartwarming, authentic "goulyash" flavor and cook it slow because that is what i literally came for. The rice was cold and dried on top, i wonder if it was freshly cooked. The food was still as bad as last year. Never change. The salad was also very bland lacking salt or pepper honestly nothing special. The most boring salad I ever had.
This place needs to improve to show people how delicious Mongolian meal is. Please put some effort and heart to...

I recently visited Arag after hearing about their newly updated menu, and I’m so glad I did—what an incredible experience!
From the moment you step inside, you’re welcomed with warm hospitality and a cozy, inviting atmosphere that sets the stage for something special. The updated menu truly celebrates the essence of Mongolian cuisine while offering a fresh and thoughtful presentation.
I tried the Tsuivan, a traditional Mongolian noodle dish, and it was absolutely phenomenal. The noodles were perfectly cooked, the meat was tender and flavorful, and the blend of spices brought everything together in the most comforting way. Every bite felt like a warm embrace from Mongolian culture.
Whether you’re familiar with Mongolian food or trying it for the first time, Arag is a must-visit. The quality, authenticity, and heart in every dish make this place stand out. I can’t wait to come back—and bring friends along to share in...
Read moreIt’s unfathomable to me how highly rated this place is. I was served water with a red solo cup…. I ordered dumplings that came out 15 minutes AFTER my meal came out. Asked for hot sauce when the meal got there, received it 10 minutes later when I was nearly done eating. Mind you, there’s like 2 people in the restaurant other than me. Got no kindness from the waitress whatsoever nor did she look me in the eyes or say thanks for coming when dropping the check. The food quality was VERY poor as well….all for $15 for a plate of noodles…needless to say I won’t be coming back....
