I gave them 2 stars because the food is decent. The service is horrible and not pleasant. I ordered online and the pickup time was given as 30 minutes. I went down to the establishment in 30 minutes and the lady stated they didn't receive my order. I showed her my order on the phone. She wrote down the order and said it would be ready quick. I didn't mind the wait thinking it would take 10-15 minutes.
30 minutes pass by and no food. During this time they received and provided food for 10 different orders. I decide to walk up to the same lady and ask her for my food. She looks at me and says, yes what would you like to order? I'm like are you kidding me? I ordered 30 minutes ago and you said you would call out my name when it was ready.
Obviously, she didn't remember my order or my name. I gave her my name again and in a rack just behind her was my order. Not only did this establishment mess up my online order, they even forgot the order they took in-person. Seems like the lady was too busy telling me that I need to pick a soda can from the fridge to complete my order. She made sure to remind me every time we spoke even though she didn't remember to call out my name when was order was ready.
The shrimp and fish tacos were cold and slathered on with mayonnaise (pictures attached). The other tacos that I ordered were packaged all wrong and all I got was a hot mess. Take your money elsewhere. Needless to say, I will not be returning to this...
Read moreMy friend and I came here on a whim because we were craving ceviche and we saw cevicheria on the side of the building while driving. We didn't expect much, but we're happily surprised.
I ordered: Shrimp ceviche tostada to go - $4.99 ** 4+/5 This comes with a contained of shrimp ceviche and two tostadas in a bag with two tapatio. It was actually more shrimp that I was expecting. The flavor is true to Mexican ceviche. It tasted fresh and didn't need anything added aside from the tapatio for spice. The only reason I'm not giving it 5/5 is because I prefer the flavor of Peruvian ceviche, but for Mexican ceviche, this would be a 5.
My friend ordered: Fish ceviche $3.99 5/5 She loved this, which she was surprised by because she doesn't usually like tilapia. Aside from the protein the rest of the ingredients were the same as the shrimp ceviche.
Since it was Tuesday, we also ordered: carne asada taco for $1.49 (usually $2.99). 3/5 * I don't think this would be worth 2.99, but it's worth 1.49. It's tiny, but it tastes fresh. There isn't much flavor to the steak, so you definitely need the salsa. I enjoyed the red salsa which you can package in a ramekin yourself on the counter to the left of the ordering area.
Overall, I would come back here. I need to try one of their...
Read moreDriving by you won't look twice. Once inside it feels like a hole in the wall. You look at the menu and aren't sure what to try. Went here with a friend who was telling me I had to get the fish and shrimp tacos. We ordered 5 of each, and a side of rice and beans. There's a easy to miss salsa bar to the left of the register. You sit at your table and wait a fair amount of time for the food. Your order is called and now you have in front of you a meal you'll have on your taste buds forever. Home made tortillas and chips. Yes they make their chips here. The salsa is authentic with flavors that work in harmony with your hot chips. The tacos are a master piece. They use their own breading for the fish and shrimp. The fish tastes freshly caught and is tender. The salsa crema and veggies on your taco all blend so well you can taste each part of it on their own. The rice and beans are like most Latin kids had growing up. I will come back here time and time again because the food was beyond what I could have expected from an unassuming hole in the wall on a very busy street in...
