BEST burger on the planet, BUT...
I've been ordering 1lb cheeseburgers here like every other day.
When one of the orders arrived without the bun (as in a cheeseburger without the bun), I didn't take action because I understand people sometimes make mistakes. And, luckily, I had other options at home.
Next time I placed another order, I called to let them know that the previous order had arrived without the bun to ensure it didn't happen on this order. The response was "that's interesting" (no apologies, no nothing).
TODAY, the same thing happened, burger no bun. I called to let them know (I didn't even ask for a refund or anything), and the response was, "It's a third-party order, sir. You need to contact doordash."
I said, "Why call doordash when it's your fault? You made the same mistake twice."
The response was giving me a lesson on how to properly be frustrated and gave me a prescription of how not to talk to them.
My shock led me to hang up. I'm not getting into a phone fight over their incompetence.
Conclusion: The problem isn't that they messed up TWICE. The real problem is the frustrated customer who has to call doordash and get denied credit because only the bun is missing.
I don't know what's wrong with customers these days! Customers need to be disciplined for their frustration with repeated poor performance of restaurants.
And because I'm a disrespectful customer, I won't be bothering this business ever...
Read more*A Local Brentwood/West LA Must Try!!! I recently had lunch at Barney's Gourmet Burgers in Brentwood for the first time. It's important to note that this is not to be confused with Barney's Beanery. The burger of the month was the Santa Fe, which came highly recommended by my friend. It featured caramelized onions and jalapeños, offering a slight kick, but the real highlight was the incredibly juicy patty and the generous portion of meat. I also thoroughly enjoyed the skinny fries. Our server, Kira, was fast, efficient, and super friendly—Thank You, KIRA! (Sometimes people forget that it's more about the food but the service definitely is part of the experience.) The restaurant has a cozy, café-like atmosphere, and the service was excellent—quick and efficient. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the Wednesday price for the burger (burger of the month) was just $12, a significant reduction from the usual $18.95. While some may have complained about the regular price (online), I believe the quality and size of the burger fully justify the cost, and I would gladly pay it.
Living just a mile away, I’ll definitely be returning. Sometimes you stumble upon hidden gems in your neighborhood, and this is one of them. A special thanks to my friend, an Uber delivery driver, who introduced me to this spot. Barney’s Gourmet Burgers truly deserves its reputation, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great...
Read moreI ordered a to go order and they completely skimped (not even skimped, completely left out) on the ingredients on my hotdog and my burger. Not to mention all of the fries that came with the order were stale and cold (and i picked it up right during the pick up window too). Haven’t been this let down in a while, so I had to leave a review. I honestly don’t hold ill will towards the establishment, and i might even return in person some day, but I am definitely not ordering out from here again. I was let down, and I was let down pretty bad. If I give this place a chance in the future I’ll definitely make sure its in person.
Other than that the price isn’t too bad, considering i had 2 entrees and 2 appetizers for a little over $40
The fried veggies were...
