Simply the Best Pizza in Pacific Palisades
Flour, the newest culinary jewel in Pacific Palisades, has redefined what it means to enjoy pizza. This restaurant-pizzeria, which opened its doors recently after the much-loved Jaccopo's closed in February 2010, has filled the void left in the hearts of pizza lovers across the community. Flour is not just another pizza place; it's a destination for the discerning palate.
Flour's dedication to quality starts with its ingredients. The non-GMO flour used for their delicate and delicious crust comes from fields blessed by monks, ensuring that every bite is a divine experience. For their rich and savory sauce, the tomatoes are harvested by virgins who wear only cotton, adding an extra layer of purity and tradition to every pie.
The specialty pizza named "The Duke" stands out among Flour's incredible selection. This unique creation features a full Margarita Cheese Pizza with half pepperoni (or sausage) and half Burrata, Basil, and Hot Honey, topped with a generous sprinkle of parmesan cheese. The combination of flavors is nothing short of extraordinary, with each ingredient complementing the others to perfection.
One of the most remarkable aspects of Flour is its crust. It's flawlessly thin with the perfect New York-style crunch, providing a delightful texture with every bite. The scent is captivating, evoking the image of angels, making each bite irresistible from the moment it graces your table.
At Flour, every pizza is crafted with love and care. You can taste the passion in every bite, starting a love affair with their food that is sure to last ages. The dedication to quality and tradition shines through in every aspect of their pizzas, from the crust to the toppings.
Flour has won the hearts of its patrons and the city. The building's owner might be taken aback when the city designates Flour Pizza, a historical landmark, a testament to its remarkable influence on the community and the legacy it is forging. This is a place you can be proud to support and be part of.

Read moreThis place WOULD'VE gotten 5 stars BUT..... Ok. Had a craving for " a slice". Sometimes you dont want the entire pie, you just gotta feed the craving. So, being an ex pat from N.Y., Brooklyn, in fact am no stranger to the best. And living in the O.C, Cortinas in Anaheim is my go to for as good as it gets in So Cal. Ok. So reviews were terrific and a nod to the bougie in Brentwood who gave it an enthusiastic " best in L.A." rating. Well....Got the meatlovers slice. Presentation nice: Generous slice w ample meats, cup peperoni, Italian ham, sausage nuggets, a sprinkling of parm, a fat basil leaf for looks and aroma, the crust a swollen fragrant slightly yeast-y perfectly charred chew. The sauce, though very scant was quite tasty. No dripping oil to be found. All very satisfying....EXCEPT.....no mootz ! There was not a speck, no blob, no hint of creamy white stretchy cheese to be found. It was as if they forgot THAT part. I was enjoying it however as a new thing, not foccacia, not really pizza, more like a sharing experience where one person eats the cheese off it and the other person goes for the sauced crust. Only thing is, it was just me eating it ( w the best company in the world, my amazing Daughter) but was my slice. Well, got to 2 inches from the top and flagged one of the very attentive enthusiastic staff behind the counter, to bring attention to the issue. Was told , well that's how we do it, and there isn't a whole lot if cheese near the top. Huh?! So manager came over. So nice. Said would u like to try another slice? And brought over a basic cheese. Well, ok. How could I refuse? Well, again, that same experience. Felt great in the hand. Smelled good. Ample sliver, bread sensational, basil leaf...sauce smelled great BUT again....no cheese! They said that's the way they do it in NY. NY style. Wll no. WAS NY "style", just not with N.Y substance....THE CHEESE PLEASE. Dtr got a salad, very overpriced basic chopped romaine w meh ( but ample) poached/ canned??? chicken and a bunch of chicken peas. Dressing tasty. I will be back but will bring a ball of mootz. The customer service was terrific. Also no seating outdoors but that's also a nod to NY. * hey bring on the cheese and your ratings and biz...
