I’ve lived in LA for about 12 years and thank goodness that there is finally a great pizza place! I’ve tried pizza all over LA and their House Scratch is the best pizza I’ve ever had. It’s a small place and very busy so seating is tight and people are constantly in & out picking up. I’ve had pizza in Brooklyn, Detroit, Chicago & many other places that are not worth noting, but this is my favorite! You have to get it fresh. Such crispy deliciousness with the right balance of sauce and minimal toppings. Definitely a unique type of pizza when compared to a Detroit deep dish or an overloaded fast food joint. I truly hope they can maintain such quality and don’t succumb to cost cutting measures like other pizza joints. I’d rather pay a few extra dollars for premium ingredients. Honestly, I haven’t tried any other type of pizza they offer because the house scratch was that good! Prime pizza is probably a runner-up for this place in West LA. Depends what your preference is on what kind of...
Read moreI recently heard about this place and had bookmarked it just in case I found myself in the area and luckily enough that day came sooner rather than later. I knew they can get pretty busy so I timed it so I could get there before 430 pm and service was pretty quick and I was able to grab a seat by the window. Its a pretty small place, so seating is somewhat limited. I ordered the "House" and the "Meat Lovers" and wow!!! Ive tried a lot of pizza over the years and I must say this place is amazing!! The House pizza uses simple but quality ingredients and the crust and hot honey is to die for! The Meat Lovers is piled high with quality meats & fresh basil and it will definitely fulfill an appetite. I wish I didnt live so far away (Westlake Village) as this would hands down be my go to spot. I'll definitely make the trek another time so I can try some of their other offerings as they all look and sound incredible. Parking can be a bit of a pain, however, there is paid parking in the...
Read moreFlour Pizzeria is my new obsession. The classics here are flawless, their house pizza and signature cheese slice are standouts on their own. The dough has that perfect balance of airy and chewy, the sauce tastes like it was simmered by someone’s Italian grandmother, and the cheese? Just the right amount of pull and richness.
But let me put you on to something next level: combine the pepperoni and the cheese, then top it with stracciatella, fresh basil, and a drizzle of hot honey. Game over. The salty-crisp pepperoni, the creamy stracciatella melting into the warmth of the pie, the fresh herbal snap of basil, and that sweet, spicy finish, it’s outrageous. I’m not kidding when I say my mouth is watering just thinking about it. This combo is pure flavor alchemy.
If you haven’t been yet, go hungry. And don’t sleep on that stracciatella + hot honey magic. Flour Pizzeria knows exactly what...
