BBQ Teriyaki & Sushi — Restaurant in Los Angeles

As a kid, I used to come here and spend my whole allowance on a dragon roll every chance I could get. Many years later, the food at BBQ Teriyaki & Sushi is still delicious and it has always been affordable, especially those lunch specials. I highly recommend lunch special B on any weekday for a well-balanced meal. On the side, you can never go wrong with the spam musubi and spicy mayo, crispy rice spicy tuna, tempura, or any sushi/roll on the menu. Even the hot chee-roll (hot cheeto crumble on top of a California roll) is awesome, but my personal favorite is the rainbow roll. These days, I usually call 15-20 minutes ahead and get takeout, but you can always sit here, enjoy a meal with a friend, and have a nice time. This place has been my go-to restaurant for sushi and teriyaki bowls for 8 years. And to see the quality of food go down and prices go up is sad to say the least. The micro sushi rolls are a disappointment, you get bigger rolls at a Vons! Not to say that the bowl n roll combo is $12.99 now when it used to be about $10. The icing on the cake is when they flip the screen and ask for a tip of $5 for bringing my food to my table which is less than 10 feet away? Or what is the tip for? Not sure but damn near spent $25 for two chicken...

I wish there were no stars to select it, here is my story with this restaurant. Because it is less than a mile from my new job location and also because I like Teriyaki food I started to get my lunch from this place, one day I had very bad stomach pain and diarrhea two hours after I had their food, I thought it might be something else, a few days later I had same symptoms again after another meal, thank god it wasn't that severe, but I will not take the risk and go there again. don't push your luck...
