As I step into the Blue Bottle on Beverly, I immediately sense that this is not just any coffee shopโit's a hub of creativity, caffeine, and, quite possibly, the next big Hollywood screenplay. The air is thick with the aroma of freshly brewed coffee and the quiet hum of ambition. The staff greet me with smiles so warm, I half expect them to hand me a screenplay instead of a menu. Their customer service isn't just good; it's a standing ovation-worthy performance.Ordering my oat milk latte, I can't help but notice the clientele. To my left, a celebrity, so incognito in sunglasses and a beanie that I almost mistake them for a regular person. To my right, laptops, each person typing away furiously, undoubtedly crafting the next award-winning script. The atmosphere is electric with creativityโor maybe that's just the espresso machine. Now, let's talk about the oat milk latte. Oh, the oat milk latte! It's a masterpiece, a symphony of flavors so harmonious, I half expect it to stand up and take a bow. The barista, a true artisan of the bean, hands it to me with a grin that says, "This will change your life." And it does. Each sip is a revelation, a perfect blend of rich espresso and creamy oat milk that dances on my palate like a well-choreographed...
ย ย ย Read moreReally disappointed with the coffee production as of late. About 6 months ago I had the worse cortado ever, threw it away after I crossed the street. It was a bad espresso pull. Today I stopped in and got a pour over. Everything was rushed, no care for the process. Barista threw coffee grounds in filter and started with bloom. The grounds were not level and a good section of grounds were not touch with any water. The rest of the process was rushed and her final pour was so high and volumous that it completely disturbed the ground bed. Then they poured it onto my mug that was not rinsed out or heated up. For the amount of money spent for a crafted cup of coffee, they completely failed. There were 3 baristas behind the counter and they were rushing around like they didn't know what you to do. Someone's green tea had been sitting there steeping the whole time they made my coffee. They couldn't find the timer on it, but it was for sure over steeped. Unacceptable. Thought blue bottle could keep up their standards once they went corporate but I am afraid that they haven't. Too bad. Perhaps it is just this store; I definitely hesitate to go into another...
ย ย ย Read moreOverall: 7/10. My least favorite Blue Bottle so far (and I'm the big fan). Not accommodating, service is slow. Interior is uncomfortable. Exterior is just an ugly parking lot. Coffee is still damn good. RESUME: I would go to the other Blue Bottle nearby.
Coffee: 9/10. This is Blue Bottle and this means best cappuccino you can possibly find in Los Angeles. Main reason why we're here, right?
Service: 6/10. Not accommodating, snobby and slow.
Interior: 6/10. It's uncomfortable. I mean all Blue Bottle coffee places are kinda minimalistic and industrial (-ish) looking, it's OK. However this particular place is the first one that made me feel uncomfortable and I did not know where to sit. Ended up outside, overlooking ugly parking lot.
Exterior terrace: 6/10. It's a part of an ugly parking lot. Only California weather still makes it enjoyable to sit there.
Price: 5/10. It's expensive. $6 for the tiniest cappuccino ever. I could tolerate the price if the place was perfect,...
