It's ok. I guess I am the outlier here who isn't 100% a fan of this place and I will give my reasons why. I do appreciate the work that C&W does to save cats from no kill shelters and what they represent, I just think the experience of actually coming to see the cats should be more relaxing and less aggravating. They try to cram way too many people into this small little rectangle on Melrose at one time, and it's really annoying because the cats don't seem to like it anymore than I do, so why do they continue to do it? I have visited a handful of times on different days as well, mainly during the week, either for 30 minutes or the full experience of 1 hour and 10 minutes, to see if things would get better and it never did.
Both times, the cats were visibly anxious (pacing, meowing, hissing at random people, fighting with each other, or hiding) and irritated. They're very insistent on telling you to be gentle with the cats and not try to work them up so that they're jumping around and acting wild, but people still do it anyway. I wish the space was bigger so that the large groups could throw toys safely without getting in the way of others who aren't interested in cats zooming around and doing triple salchows in the air. Also, on my most recent visit, there was one employee in particular who was just absolutely obnoxious, bossy, loud, and invasive, and her presence during the 1 hour experience nearly drove me up the wall. It seemed like every time I went over to interact with a cat, she was on my butt telling me what to do in this loud, patronizing tone, almost like she was speaking to a child. I found it even more offensive seeing as on that particular visit, there was a couple manhandling one of their new kittens and another family slingshotting cat toys at 95 mph. I really didn't want to get into an argument with her even though I desperately wanted to tell her to give me space and let me enjoy the time I paid for, so I just ignored her in the hopes she would get the...
Read more✅ Pros: it was very clean & there's an onsite restroom; I didn't smell any strong odors and despite having allergies, I didn't start sneezing until the last 30 min or so of my 70 min session (and that was probably bc I was covered in cat fur and it was flying around by that point), so I think even cat lovers with allergies can reasonably enjoy visiting this place if you take your antihistamines beforehand -they provide a lint roller so you can clean your clothes off at the end of your visit -the cats are freaking adorable!! -very cozy, calming, and romantic vibes! great place for a date or chill hangout with your feline-loving friends 🩷
😢 Cons: -the entry fee is pretty pricey (it's LA, so what else can you expect, but I've been to cat cafes in other cities where the building was larger for a cheaper entry price) -menu is also super pricey and food/drink options are limited. Technically this isn't an actual café; they pick up their orders from another location offsite. -there honestly aren't too many cats to play with and the small room gets pretty crowded with people. The human-to-cat ratio is definitely unbalanced -one of the cats was aggressive and bit me when I just put my hand out to let him sniff it. I don't blame him bc it seemed like the other guests were riling him up and he was overstimulated, plus the staff mentioned that he was feral up until recently (well, I guess he's still kinda feral), but just an FYI. it definitely wasn't the highlight of my experience.
Overall I had a nice time but I don't think I would go back bc it's too expensive to justify. One time for the vibes is...

My girlfriend loves cats so I decided to make a reservation at this place after doing some research. Upon completion, a waiver is required to be completed before your visit (online). We arrived a few minutes before our reservation, got checked in, and placed our coffee orders (which have to be done before the reservation!).
The experience:
Once it was our group's turn to enter the establishment, we were instructed to clean our hands with the hand sanitizer. We all sat down and were given the rundown of the place and what not to do. Then, we all took off our shoes and if we wanted, could wear the given booties. All of the cats are friendly and adoptable! The interior is cute and very picturesque. Merchandise neatly propped up on the walls, cushions on the floor to relax on, tables with a center part for cats to relax in, and cat trees. Treats can be purchased at the counter (small or large bag). You'll see them hiss and slap each other when surrounding you for treats (lol). During our experience they had just brought in a batch of kittens which made the experience more awesome. A polaroid photo is included for free!
The staff was very friendly, and did not hesitate to help or answer anyone's questions.
Metered parking is available on Melrose Ave., but you may get lucky like me and get one that someone had already paid for :). I believe there is parking in the neighborhood surrounding as well.
Coffee wasn't bad. I had ordered a cold brew and my girlfriend got an iced vanilla latte. We received our order maybe 10 minutes into...
