It was nice to watch this place grow through the pandemic and they're really starting to thrive. I've had a few things from here in the past. I'll review the pastries & then the coffee. As for the service here, it is always fantastic & they're very helpful & sweet. I've only had great experiences from their staff.
Pastries: The sweet potato bread in the case was really interesting. It looked like a potato and tasted like those roasted sweet potatoes you eat in the winter, except cold with a little cream filling. The cream bread is fluffy with a rich filling. And I love the blueberry cream they put on their cakes and tarts. I have yet to try the bread but next time I will get a baguette.
Most of the pastries are not very sweet & you can find lots of traditional Asian & Korean style treats here. Mochi with anko, jot dog buns, & today I saw something that looked like a filled Hotteok (ķøė”) but I can't read hangul so I'm not entirely sure.
They also sell whole cakes in various sizes for birthdays or gifts. Some of them are quite small which is perfect for a small birthday get together.
Coffee: They don't do espresso yet. I asked for a latte today & was helped by a very kind gentleman who instead made me a iced coffee with vanilla & a splash of milk. I'm not quite sure if it was pour over or cold brew but he informed me that it was a dark roast & I was pleasantly surprised at how delicious it was. The syrups they use are high quality & the coffee was smooth & refreshing. I'll definitely be coming back to get this drink again & again.
I have gotten pour over hot coffee here in the past as well. They have a cool set up near the front that let's you watch them make it for you. This has been hit or miss for me depending on the beans. They let you choose from a variety of coffees that they sell, so I'm sure it's a pain to dial in the grind for many bags so I've had mixed results ordering this but never anything so bad I couldnt drink it. Just sometimes it's better than others.
Anyway, hope this long review encourages you to try a treat from this new coffee shop & bakery. It truly is a nice treat after...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI was shopping at H Mart then I saw this bakery right outside the market. The cake displays totally got my attention. Have to check them out!
The Service: The manager & the staffs are so friendly. They greeted me with smiling eyes with mask on. They gave me great recommendation since it was my first time there. Super attentive! Excellent customer service~
The Pastry/Bread: Their cakes are so beautifully decorated! You can buy the whole cake or by slice. This time I tried the Strawberry Mango & Earl Grey flavors. I love they decorate the cake with edible flowers. So adorable! Seriously~ how could their cake so soft & moist? Unbelievable! They are not overly sweet. I love it!
OMG! Look at the bread section, so many to choose from! They really get super creative making their bread. Now Korean bakery is my new favorite!
The manager highly recommends me to try their famous "Cream Buns". There are 5 different flavors. So much flavorful fillings inside. No wonder they are the top sales items in the store! Definitely must try!
You can't have bread & pastries without coffee, right? They knew it! They have a coffee shop section as well. It is nice they have in store seating area.
The Parking: There are two different parking lots. Enter from "Mariposa Ave". That is the underground parking (FREE!!!). The other one entering from Alexandria Ave is belonged to H Mart, there is purchase requirement...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreTerrible experience! I was there on 9-11-22 around 1 PM. They donāt have brewed coffee. They are Americano they made was like water. I ordered two black coffees. After we picked up the cakes that we wanted, we went to the counter and the girl brought us two iced caramelized coffeeās. I told her three times we wanted hot black coffee. The Korean girls there were not listening to us at all. It took almost 6 minutes for their credit card machine to process through. Absolutely ridiculous time. Period I canāt remember when Iāve been to a place that was such terrible service and such a terrible credit card and electronics experience. They only have one small size of coffee cups and charge way way way too much. The Americano was more like water. Hot water. Donāt go to this place. There are many many other places in Koreatown they give good service have quality products and arenāt going to make you stand there 5 to 10 minutes checking out. Pass them by. There are lots and lots of other locations. Actually, Iām a white guy and I felt like they were being prejudiced toward me. Thatās a separate issue. All of the other mechanics of their business...
