If I could give this place a zero I would. Worst service I have ever had, came in for breakfast the waitress was slow to begin with, I ordered water...did not receive this water until after my food had started to be delivered. My order was super simple eggs, bacon, toast, and pancakes. Easy right...well apparently not as I am sitting there waiting, for the one thing that is the easiest to make toast, NEVER came. She put my food on the table and left, didn't ask if I needed anything, if it was all there, nor did she come back to check on the table after she delivered food. Now I can understand if it was busy and she had a lot to do but no she spent her time filling sugar, sitting and wiping off menus, busy work, now I would think one would take care of their tables before trying to find something to do instead of looking like you are just standing around. So now here I am having to go up to the front to talk to someone about getting me toast all while she is standing in the corner talking to another worker laughing and looking at their phones, not giving one damn about customer service she even looked at me up front and continued talking to her friend. So now I am irate worst service ever and now she just completely ignores me. Spoke with the manager she brings the toast and then all she has to say is I can have a piece of pecan pie on the house. Oh yea so great to bad I am allergic to pecans so I decline and she walks away. No I'm sorry for the inconvenience, no compassion, no nothing just walks away. WORST SERVICE EVER. If you can find...
Read moreIt's a headache finding restaurants that are open and taste good during national holidays like thanksgiving, Christmas's eve, new year's eve, you name it. Not with Denny's! They are open, always! Anyways, this branch is great! The restaurant was clean, the servers were efficient and friendly, and the lighting was cozy. The only downside to Denny's franchise is that it takes a while to have your food served to your table.
The food:
Bourbon Bacon Burger (9/10): I have never tried their burgers due to the wide selection of dishes here. Well, I am glad I finally gave their burgers a try and the Bourbon Bacon Burger didn't disappoint! The buns had a nice aroma and had a great texture. The beef patties 🥩 were juicy and seasoned perfectly (perhaps not as fresh as the patties served in In-N-Out burger)! Bacon was crispy and not too salty. The vegetables 🥗🍅were also fresh. The fries 🍟 were alright, though it was nothing to write home about. But hey, it's called a burger, the fries are just the sides.
Country Fried Steak (9/10): This actually tasted better than I had expected. The chicken steak was also juicy and the portion was huge. However, I enjoyed the corn in this dish a lot! The fries in the Country Fried Steak were actually better than the ones in the Bourbon Bacon Burger!
Overall, I would recommend Denny's if you want to experience a western dine-in experience, I would actually recommend...
Read moreIt's not any different than any other Denny's. It did give me some old Hollywood movie diner vibes with its large neon signs and their rad 50's music. The servers probably did not notice but I was singing along as the OG Twist and Shout played.
As for our food, it was okay. Good, actually. I mean we knew that we're going to Denny's to get some diner food so the expectations weren't very high. (We went around looking for sushi initially; don't ask why we ended up in a diner.) I had the tilapia ranchero plate with whole grain rice and broccoli. I thought the fish was seasoned very well. Also, I'm not the biggest fan of avocado but it made me realize that adding avocado to anything actually makes it better. I think that's some good epiphany right there. I think the downside is it's price. I thought if I'm paying more than $10 for a diner meal, I better be full AF. But I wasn't. So I started eating off the plate of my beau who got country fried steak and eggs. Of course it was good but it was very salty. I have a very salty palate so if I think it was salty - it is attack to your kidney stones salty.
I thought our servers were really nice. It was not very busy when we came in so we got served right away.
All in all, it was an okay experience. We eventually got full with our strawberry lemonade and paid around $30. Will I come back? Most likely, probably a bit tipsy. Diner food has a special place...
