If I can give this place 10 stars, I absolutely would. Let me start off by saying that I am a very worrisome dog mom. I get paranoid with leaving my dogs even with my own family sometimes and I can't ever really relax while on vacation.
While both my dogs are very leash reactive, they are also very sweet but it was hard for me to tell if they would get along with other dogs , especially as a duo.
I gave South Park LAX Boarding a call. (Be patient as you may have to call a second time, as they are very busy taking care of their doggo guests). They picked up right away . I forgot the name of the female that I was talking to on the phone, but she was absolutely helpful , answered all of my questions and understood exactly where I was coming from about my worries. She said that I can bring them in for a free trail to transition them into the facility for a free day of day care before actually boarding them. They were absolutely accommodating to my schedule since I had to reschedule the trail a couple of times. I had a last minute trip come up this past weekend, and they said that I can bump up the trail earlier so that I can board them right away if all went well the first visit.
Upon arrival, the facility was very well maintained and absolutely clean . The lady at the front (i forgot her name as well :( ) was above and beyond nice. They took each of my dogs one by one to see how they did with their assigned big dog group. The entire staff that was working that day new what they were doing, how to read the dogs, and the right thing to do. They were able to know what to do with my rescue, Chance when he was nervous at first and how to slowly ease the transition to meet each dog one by one . The great news is that they let me watch over the camera shown on their TV in the lobby to see everything going on . Then he transitioned kona (my second dog in) . After 30 minutes of making sure things went well both of my dogs were absolutely comfortable and playing around with all of the other dog guests ! I was so happy since I was so nervous about bringing them both as a duo around a group of dogs, but they fit right in. They let my fur babies literally stay all day long for the trial and had a report card uploaded into my account + pictures right away ! I was so impressed. Full detail of how their day went and everything. I was also able to watch them through the cameras all day . Since that all went well, I then decided to board them this past weekend.
The next day, as we were getting ready to board , my dogs knew exactly where we were when we parked and they ran in , tails wagging and all. They were the first to try the new play area that one of the staff members, Nephi set up! Nephi , along with the other staff members were absolutely great. They really took my notes on the feeding schedule seriously and my little requests. For example, I requested that my dogs had an extra water bowl in their room over night since my senior dog gets Thursday, and rest assured, Nephi made sure to send me a video of how my pups were doing in their room and showed that he put an extra water bowl. He not only texted me updates through the report card but also through text right away.
I am so glad that I have a place that I can now take my dogs to when i need to be out of town and have peace of mind at the same time. The bey even have all types of cool packages to keep your pups busy like add on training, agility, or swimming. My favorite thing is that the staff members make sure to always pay attention to all of the dogs at all times based on my camera viewings over the weekend. This place impressed me so much that I will not only come here for boarding, but I will be taking them here for day care once a week since my dogs love the...
Read moreBoarded my dog there twice and the first time (March) was fine but she came home with a wound on one of her legs. I didn’t think much of it because I know things like this happens when a lot of dogs are together and she didn’t seem unhappy when I picked her up.
The second time (this time, july) I boarded her, she came back with kennel cough symptoms and when I picked her up, there was an additional charge of $30 per night for a separate room which they did not obtain my consent and approval of first. They said this was due to my dog being “reactive” to other dogs and when I inquired further, one of the staff said my dog was the new dog there so when the other dogs wanted to sniff her out, she didn’t like that, so she would growl and nitpick the other dogs(?) I have boarded my dog at various boarding places throughout the years and sometimes with even longer durations than this time (15 days), but never had any of the places gave me feedback that my dog could not socialize appropriately with other dogs. I personally have not seen my dog be even slightly aggressive with other dogs and most of the time I would see her as being too timid. So I feel very confused and feel like this characterization is unbelievable to me.
They told me that my dog was separated into that room and was not allowed to socialize with the other dogs. They said they notified me during the first stay through text, but I never got it. I showed the manager the complete text chain with the dates starting from the first stay and the message they said they sent was not there, so he gave me a small discount on the additional charges on the separate room.
What I am most upset about is not just that I was charged an additional fee without my approval and consent first but more so that the situation of my dog being separated was not communicated to me in a reasonable manner. With something this serious, should I not at least be told in-person or on the phone/voicemail, or even through email????? If I knew that she was not able to play with other dogs and would be kept in an isolated room, I would not have ever boarded her there.
Also, they charge a really confusing additional “late pick up” fee of your last day of stay there. So if you board your dog at say 7am on the first day, they say you need to pick your dog up at I think 10am or 11am on your last day, or you would need to pay an additional fee of the daycare (“late pickup fee”) for the rest of the last day. I have boarded my dog in various places before and have not experienced this kind of additional charge so this was quite unexpected as well.
I remember reading reviews that talked about the confusing late pick up fee and another persons dog being separated into another room without being sufficiently communicated to but I didn’t think it would happen to me, but it did……and when I was in shock about my dog being separated in another room and confused about the extra unapproved charge, one of the staff there kept reiterating that regardless I “would need to pay to be able to pickup my dog” which made me very uncomfortable.
I have a lot of experience boarding my dog in different facilities and have never been left feeling so uneasy, shocked, confused, and uncomfortable. Based on my experience, I do not recommend this place at all and hopefully this review can help someone evaluate this...

From the moment I walked in, the staff was incredibly friendly, professional, and genuinely caring. They took the time to listen to my needs and made sure I felt completely comfortable leaving my dog in their care. The team is outstanding! Every member is so attentive and knowledgeable, and it's clear they have a real passion for animals. They took the time to get to know my dog, which gave me peace of mind knowing my furry friend would be treated like family. The facilities are top-notch, clean, spacious, and safe. There’s a lot of space for dogs to play and socialize, and the area is well-maintained with secure fencing and comfortable resting spots. It’s obvious that a lot of care goes into making sure the dogs are in a safe and enjoyable environment. I love that they offer a variety of activities to keep the dogs engaged! From playtime with other dogs to arts and crafts, my dog was always happily occupied. They also send daily updates with pictures and reports, which is a nice touch and really shows how much they care about each pet's well-being. I’ve used both their daycare and boarding services, and both are excellent. My dog has always come home happy and well-exercised after daycare, and I feel at ease leaving them overnight during boarding. It’s clear they go above and beyond to provide a fun, safe, and loving environment for the dogs, whether it's for a few hours or an extended stay. Most importantly, I feel confident that my dog is well cared for. The staff makes sure each dog’s individual needs are met, whether that’s special care instructions or extra attention.
