I waited two hours and received no food. My first and last time at a Domino's.
I placed an online order for pickup (2 wing orders, 2 pizzas), it told me it would be ready in about an hour. I arrived at the store an hour and twenty minutes later. There was an incredibly long line to order, with no separate line for pickup orders. When I arrived at the counter I gave my name, and it took 5 minutes for the worker to tell me that they had forgotten to cook one of my pizzas, and to return in 5 minutes. I returned 5 minutes later to find the line had grown. After several minutes of waiting I intercepted a returning delivery employee and asked for my order. After waiting several minutes I was informed they had only half of my order, and one order of wings and one pizza wasn't ready yet. I asked how long it would take for the food to be prepared and was told "they would check." The employee never returned. After another several minutes I intercepted a different employee and asked for my order. After SEVERAL MINUTES they informed me that the food was STILL cooking, and would be ready in 10 minutes. At this point I had placed my original order an hour and 45 minutes ago. I had arrived at the store half an hour prior, and they had somehow LOST the food they'd already prepared.
I asked for a manager to get a partial refund. I asked for the food they had already prepared and for them to refund the rest. A manager never appeared, and the delivery employee dealt with my refund. They told me they would have to refund my original order, and charge me for 1 pizza and 1 wing order (the food they had actually cooked). After several minutes of waiting, they told me they were able to void the original order, but weren't able to charge me for the food that was already prepared.
After TWO HOURS I left the store with no food. I received no apologies for the delays or issues with my order. My family was not only disappointed but beyond hungry after my...
Read moreI've been ordering from this location on Hoover, here in Los Angeles for over 10 years, and not once have I ever been disappointed. The pizza taste is always consistently the same. The staff is always pleasant. They actually look you in the eye when you order. How many times do we go to places where they never once, look you in the eye to acknowledge your order. Not that I care but it speaks volumes about the person they hire, which in turn speaks volumes about management, and then the company.
The prices are always a winner for me. I remember studying late nights for my degree with little to no time to cook and short on cash. This Domino's location was always a life saver for those nights. What a treat on nights before an exam. Date nights were always a success with their pizza. Right price, and right on time. Hot and ready when you open the box.
The service is quick, and every phone order over the years has been with dozens of different employees, yet every phone order always felt like it was the same person. Every employee I can remember was super helpful and patient. They always answered every question thoroughly and they always helped me save money. For that reason, I'm a true fan of Domino's. Clearly they have a gift for hiring the coolest people for that position.
You can't go wrong with this location and others I'm sure because I've ordered from other locations over the years and never had a bad experience. You have my blessing for this locating and...
Read moreI am definitely an individual that doesn't like to judge a book by its cover (or a restaurant by its raitings). Sadly, i should have listened to the reviews. My order left the store at 12:31pm and it is now 1:23pm. The order was placed 30 minutes before it even left the store. I work about 5-10 minutes drive from the restaurant, so it's more than baffling that it has taken well over an hour for this entire transaction to happen (more like an hour and a half).
It took me calling the store and having to request that they call me back with an update to hear that my delivery driver couldn't find a place to park. The young man on the phone was clearly fumbling for excuses as to why they hadn't delivered yet, and that's unsettling. Also, don't have your app tell me you've arrived and you hope I'm enjoying my food when you're not even in the vicinity.
Update: my food arrived mid-review (1:35ish) and it wasn't even warm. Not to discount Flavio's courtesy, but I'm highly disappointed in the amount of time it took for the food to arrive, as well as the fact it was cold. Never again...
