My brother and I have attended Anime Expo for the past four years and have consistently stayed at your hotel during each visit. While the property has never been exceptional, it has generally provided clean accommodations and a convenient location close to the convention center—enough to justify our return. Unfortunately, this year’s experience was by far the worst we’ve had and has left us extremely disappointed and frustrated.

Upon check-in, we were told our room was ready. However, it was immediately clear that it had not been properly cleaned. As we began unpacking our cosplay outfits and preparing to work on our wigs, we moved the coffee table between the beds—and discovered a dead sparrow underneath it. Additionally, there were bizarre and unsanitary green stains in the shower.

We attempted to call the front desk using the in-room phone, only to find it was non-functional. I had to use my personal cell phone to report the situation to the overnight staff. While someone from housekeeping did accompany him to remove the dead bird and disinfect the surrounding area, the response was completely inadequate.

No one offered to relocate us to a new room, nor did anyone follow up to ensure the situation had been properly addressed. I made it very clear that this was unacceptable and that your housekeeping staff had clearly failed to do even the most basic inspection and cleaning. The table in question is not heavy—there is no excuse for missing something so blatant and unhygienic.

When I finally managed to speak to the manager (who was unavailable when this happened and difficult to get in touch with due to our busy convention schedule), I was met with a complete lack of accountability. The manager outright refused to take responsibility or offer any meaningful resolution.

This hotel has steadily declined in quality over the years, but this experience marks a new low. What was once a tolerable and convenient option has now become an uncomfortable, mismanaged, and overpriced disappointment. We will not be returning next year, and I will be sharing this experience with others in the cosplay and convention community.

I strongly suggest you re-evaluate your standards of cleanliness and customer service before more loyal guests make the same decision.

Sincerely, A lost...

Horrible hotel. The guy at the front desk seemed annoyed when I came to him with a question or concern and even when i eventually requested a refund, like I was inconveniencing him. The first room they put me and my family in had a damaged door frame (like someone took a crowbar and tried breaking in) and the gap was letting the A/C out and didn't make the room any cooler so I had our room switched. The next room they put me in had a box TV from the 90's, unlike the first room which had a Flatscreen, it made no sense. In both rooms, the bathrooms were small and dirty, and the beds had stains on them and to be honest, not sure if the sheets had even been washed. The only reason I had booked this hotel was cause it had decent reviews and was the cheapest I could find, but i feel like they use their prices (which are cheap for the area but still expensive) to attract customers, but those prices don't match the quality of your stay. Do yourself a favor and fork out the extra 20 or 30 dollars for a nicer place because it's L.A. and hotels are going to be expensive but you won't regret it. If you want a place that's clean, safe, and has friendly staff, you should...

We stayed 5 nights, beds were horrible, noise was really bad . You can hear everything going on upstairs, stomping and luggage throwing. Showers were dirty. It was a very uncomfortable stay. We booked on booking.com I requested to check in at around 2am because that's the time we were getting there from the airport. They confirmed my request and I even tried calling them a week in advance just to make sure I could get there early morning. No one answered my call ever. I arrived at the time they confirmed and no one was at the front desk or in the building. They had a paper saying "bathroom break, be back in an hour" so my family had to wait outside for an hour until someone showed up. Finally a guy shows up making us feel very unwelcomed and says we arrived a day early and my reservation wasn't until the next day. I mentioned I requested an early morning arrival and it was confirmed and he said all he could do was charge me for a separate room and then move everything into a second room the next day. He works the night shifts and was rude every time we saw him. Day shift is a lot more welcoming and helpful. This hotel isn't...

1-Week Comfy Stay with Basic Services This was a comfortable and pleasant stay overall. The hotel offers standard services. I’ve shared more specific details in other sections of this review. Pros: • Good value for the price. • Safe and secure environment. • Spacious rooms with large windows that provide plenty of light and fresh air. • Comfortable beds and pillows. • Parking is usually available. Cons: • No tea corner or kettle in the room, or even at the front desk. • The floors could use a stronger cleaning product. I had to buy slippers to keep my socks clean, though the cleaning staff seemed to do their best. • No help with luggage upon arrival. I had to carry my bags to the second floor via stairs, but thankfully, the Uber driver helped. • On the last night, I could hear neighbors’ conversations and children singing competitions 🎶 It would’ve been fun, if it hadn’t been midnight! Lastly, thanks to Johnny at the front desk for his professional and friendly attitude.

I stayed for 7 days. The room was well kept. I enjoyed my stay for the most part. Only complaints are that the people above were loud. Not in any offensive or sexual way, just stomping around at 6 am. I could clearly hear the dragging of luggage and slamming of drawers. This went on for 2 days. I didn't complain to the front desk because I've honestly never been to an inn, so I didn't know what I should do. The next couple that took that room were also noisy with the stomping, not as much as the previous person. The other complaint would be that the microwave is located in the lobby. It's inconvenient at night time. The ice machine was out of order. Also, they list free breakfast, that is a mistake or a lie, breakfast is not free nor provided. Other than that, my stay was great. I do enjoy the benches outside. The ambiance felt safe to me because they have cameras. I would stay here again.
