I’m gonna take this moment to sort of knit-pick as they used to say. A little minor complaint but also a dose of common sense. I ordered pizza from Dominos and picked up in person. Something that me and my wife have been doing about twice a month now, taking advantage of online deals and for the most part as pizzas go, the pizzas are good. However and this is part of the knit-pick, my wife and I have grown fond of eating feta cheese on pretty much everything so we’ve been ordering it on our pizza. Previous to the last two visits to Dominos, the pizzas were cooked to perfection aka no burnt feta cheese, perfect crust and other toppings. Now, a couple weeks ago and also today we noticed the pizza was burnt on top. The guy explained that what I see is the feta cheese burnt on the top.. He said “feta cheese burns very easily when cooked in the oven..” I don’t know, I kind of felt like bells were ringing in my head when he said that but I digress. The first time I brought the pizza back to show him, the guy replaced the pizza. The fix was that they cooked the feta cheese on the inside this time to avoid the feta burning. “Hmmm… more bells.,” I’m thinking. The pizza was perfect. This time around as I spoke to the guy behind the counter he said to me “ten times out of ten, the feta cheese will be burnt on the pizza.” Ummmm… here goes the common sense part… if this is the case with regards to feta cheese, why not make it standard protocol to ALWAYS cook ‘FETA’ cheese on the inside? I don’t know but if that’s the sort of thing that would solve the issue forever, why not try it? It’s not a heavy lift is it? Crazy insane idea, I know but ummm…. Instead the suggestion from the guy was “whenever you order online, give us a call afterwards and tell us to put the feta underneath on the inside…” Ummm… no 🤣😂 I’m not gonna make that extra effort. So, this time I just took my burnt feta cheese topped BBQ and pepperoni pizza home. I refused the replacement pizza. He said they don’t like wasting food and guess what? Neither do I so I’m good. The pizzas are generally pretty good at this Burbank Blvd location. The service is decent and even the guy I spoke to seems cool but common sense is kind of at an all time low these days and I just had to vent a little bit because in hindsight its funny but dang its such an easy fix without having to make another pizza… If they going for culinary design and good looks, just sprinkle the feta on top of the pizza after its been cooked…...
Read moreThe worst delivery pizza/customer service I've experienced!!! I placed an order on the Domino's Pizza App and when I got my supposedly pizza, wings, and pasta bowl delivered it was the wrong order. Okay, not a problem. Mistakes happen, so I decided to call the location and let them know that I've received the wrong order. Once I spoke to some woman there. She told me that my order was being remade and will be sent out as soon as possible. Okay, cool no worries. About 30 minutes pass, so called again to offer to come pick up the pizza myself. The woman working there said to come in and it should be ready in about 20 mins. I get to the location and I can tell that staff were overwhelmed by the orders and seemed shorthanded. Employees not wearing gloves, mask half of their faces and no hats or hairnets on. I waited back until someone there acknowledged that I was guest coming in. After someone else walked in, that's when I was asked, "are you picking up or ordering?" I told the women there (seemed to be the manager) that I was picking up an order and my oder that was delivered to my home was the wrong order. She told me to wait a few more minutes, as I watch them just start my order. I waited in inside the restaurant watching the two employees run around, grabbing orders, ignoring the phone. Frantically trying to get things settled. Once my order was ready the women approached the counter and told me that I had to pay for my order again!!! I told her I will not pay twice for an order, especially when the money was debited out of my account. Showing her my phone with the charge of my order. She debated with me for fives mins saying that the money was refunded to my account and that I would have to take a picture of her kiosk screen showing that the money was refunded. I asked for a paper receipt for documentation, which I was denied. I told the woman that I would not accept the pizza, wings, and pasta. I told her to keep the order, and I would be speaking to corporate and writing a review on how unprofessional my experience was. I will NEVER order from this location again. It made me not wanna order Domino's...
Read more12501 Burbank blvd Domino's Pizza have employees/managers that don't really know how to make a pizza that a customer ORDERS. I don't know how many times I've asked time and time again for ORIGINAL, THICK CRUST and they always give me THIN!! Are all of them hard of hearing or don't know how to play a pizza with thick crust. I mean that should be fairly easy but apparently it's the hardest thing in the world for them. Every. Single. Time. Maybe 3 times they were able to get my order correctly - compared to the hundreds of times I order from them. I wish there were other dominos around my area (a compotent one at that) but unfortunately, this is what I'm left to deal with - it's only 3 mins from my house. I love Domino's, I think they have the best pizza or at least a close second to Papa John's but the workers here have really got to get better at listening to the customers AND CORRECTLY make their pizza without them leaving dissatisfied. This constant occurrence I never have with any other pizza places. Sad. Frustrating....
