Donut Star — Restaurant in Los Angeles

Idk what happened but I recently went here after months of not going. I think they changed their doughnut recipe and now it's the best in the area!

SUGAR donuts have a nice crisp on the outside and a soft (barely)doughy like texture on the inside making them exquisitely perfect, in my opinion.

PLAIN CAKE donuts are just the same a light crisp on the outside and a slightly dense cake inside. The flavor is just right. A little sweet without the over powering flavor of frying oil.

This is my new go-to spot for standard donut flavors. They also offer lotto, drinks, sandwiches, chips...

This place is SO LEGIT. A real, no nonsense, old school, high quality donut shop.

They never disappoint. Always super fresh. They’re priced incredibly low. The staff usually throw in and extra few donut holes for free if you buy a couple of donuts or more. Nice guys, great donuts.

It’s not a fancy, neon colored, glittery hipster, $10 donut place. It’s proper, real deal, sugary, glazed, fresh, soft and sweet and $1.50-$2 a donut, local community store.

The donuts speak for themselves. They’re awesome.

I was visiting with a friend.She asked for a dozen doughnuts but everytime she picked one the clerk would tell her that's not part of the deal. Finally I stepped in and politely asked her to give my friend the ones that she wanted and not the ones she was trying to sell her. I also bought a couple coffees to go. I was expecting soft warm fresh doughnuts. These things were cold like getting hard cold. This is what I get for close to twenty dollars ....I said forget it. Its the last time I go there.
