I couldn't simply eat my sandwich due to not being able to confirm with this business if my sandwich was safe to eat allergy wise.
I called today at 11:35 on 11/22 and a man answered the phone.
I asked him if he wouldnt mind helping me to inquire what the gluten free bread looks like. I was worried that I did not get the proper bread in my doordash order. ( I have a gluten allergy)
The man on the line said the gluten free bread was brown.
I told him the bread I have is round and white with light brown on the outside. . He then said yea, the bread is white...
Being that he changed the color from what he initially said..I was now more worried to eat the sandwich..I then said ." To confirm, my bread is long and white, like a long roll. ( SInce all bread is brown I was hoping he wouldn't mind simply describing the bread for me to see if mine looked like gluten free bread they sell. :/).
He seemed rather annoyed and quickly said 'yeah it is brown and white'. ..It is new... "
Because this conversation was oddly uncomfortable and because he was very clearly not interested in describing the bread they use.. I asked him for his name. ( I asked this so I could call back and hope for someone else to answer e phone and assist me, but he probably thought I was callling to complain to his manager.)
He then said 'UGH' and immediately hung up the phone... I called back two times at 11:36 and 11:37, and no one in this store picked up. I then called at 12:02 and someone picked up and hung up the phone without saying anything..
I then called back at 12:09 number from a separate business number and someone answered the first try. I asked to speak with the manager and he said no one was there. I asked for her name and he said Missy. I then explained what happened and he "could not hear me."
I find it very alarming that the person on the line was too annoyd to helpa a friendly customer..who simply wanted confirmation that they got the proper gluten free bread..
It is frustrating enough to have to feel like a bother and ask a business to confirm if the bread is gluten free...we know its annoying for them to check..and we can't help that way we have a bad allergy..
It would be good for this business to check who was working at 11:35 on Friday 11/2 as his customer service is terrible.
Whoever was working ignored the ringing phone twice after the hang up..and then hung up on me again before answering the call when I tried a different number.
I understand it might be busy, but having an employee say UGH , hang up on me 2x , and ignore my calls due to inquiring if my order is correct is absurd .....and rude. It is pretty normal to have an allergy and just want some help to know that if I eat it..nothing bad will happen to me.
Really bad representation of a human, let alone employee at an establishment. Some people are just miserable and should find a new job if basic decency is...

Was so excited to try this place. There were tables outside with one person eating a sandwich. Walked in and one of the employees, I'm guessing on break, was seated at the lone table inside and had their head down on the table.
All good, I'm hungry and looking forward to a delicious meal. I order and they tell me it'll be about 5 minutes. I walk around to peek at the artwork on the walk, the celebrities posing with Ike...and I turn around and the on break employee is now back behind the counter putting gloves on to work on the rest of my sandwich.
So I go to sit at the table while I wait and as I reach for the chair to pull it back...I was greeted by something you definitely don't want to see when you're about to eat.
Roach in the restaurant?! Was my first and last time here. I told the workers and they just shrugged and made no attempt to clean.
The sandwich itself wasn't even made right. The bread wasn't split all the way so the meats we're pouring out the side and when I went to unwrap it...the paper was a soggy, greasy mess.
Save your $17 and get a sandwich at Cavaretta's....tried and true and no...

Ike’s Love & Sandwiches totally hit the spot. It was my first time trying Ike’s. I had the Madison Bumgarner and it was incredible. The steak was juicy, the yellow BBQ sauce with the light habanero brought just the right amount of heat, and the pepper jack and American cheese combo made it perfectly melty and satisfying. Every bite was packed with flavor and the bread was toasted to perfection.
My wife ordered the Lin-Sanity and she couldn’t stop raving about it. It was bold, unique, and super tasty. Definitely one of her new favorites.
The service was quick and friendly, and the vibe in the shop was fun and casual. We’ll definitely be back to explore more of their creative sandwich lineup. Highly recommend if you’re craving something delicious and out of...
