Jersey Mike's Subs — Restaurant in Los Angeles

So, I'm not big on sandwhich shops because I like to make my own...however I have been violently craving this place for the better part of a month. I finally made my way here today, and boy, was I disappointed.

I am not one to cause a scene, so I didn't say anything, but I walked in, and there were no customers in. So the young lady asks me what I want. I tell her I would like the classic Italian.

This other guy comes in around this time and he asks for something...turkey I think?...although the lady told the guy slicing the meat what I was having and gave him the bread he proceeds to put that bread down and picks up the one for the other guy and starts slicing that other customer's stuff first and hands it over to the girl to finish. In my head, I'm like, why would he do that? If I was here first?...I didn't say anything and continued to wait. I think the girl noticed my discomfort, and she took a pause from the other guy to start working on mine. Still trying to finish the other guy's sandwhich but acting like she is trying to complete mine first so that I won't say anything.

Before she rings me up, she asks if I have a number with them, I didn't know what she meant. So she said it's for points, I said ok and she's like, have a good night. As I am walking out, I hear her ask that other guy if he had number, he says no, and then begins to give him full details about how their rewards program works. So, once again I felt uneasy, I don't know why I was given such poor service, I don't know if my vibe was off or I did something to upset them and give them the need to treat me as if I was bothering them. Maybe they were having an off day? I don't know!

I dont think anyone should ever be made to feel as if their business is not welcomed, and I hope if someone from their establishment sees this, they correct such...

My review is based on all around one of the best establishments I've visited recently. From everything being in its place to how CLEAN and I mean SPOTLESS - down to the bathroom it was during my visit, to the SERVICE! wow! I am allergic to pork ans black pepper. Karen the young woman helping me went above and beyond and did a glove change and sanatized the meat slicer! She was patient and dilligent. Great experience! Daniela and Leo I belive was her name were also great! They were all moving no one was standing around! Made me want to go home and tidy up my place! They emplify customer service and cleanliness! Very poor customer service the lady placed my cheese on a bare counter instead of after slicing a just put it straight on my bread. She also just through my meat and cheese together and didnt fold the meat or cheese, no effort in making the sandwich presentable and neat. I explained to them that I was new there and I was asking a few questions they seemed irritated the lady African American young Girl and a Mexican girl was there busy playing and laughing and taking selfies. There was one lady there that was actually serious and precise in her sandwich making. My first experience was horrible and I paid $20 for just a thrown together...
