Oh, let me tell you about my recent pizza adventure at John and Vinnys in Brentwood! Brace yourselves for a positively tasty review with a dash of humor.
First things first, the food was out-of-this-world amazing! I mean, I've tasted pizza all over the place, but John and Vinnys took it to a whole new level. And let's talk about that thin crust. It was so thin, it practically disappeared. I felt like I was eating toppings on a cloud. Bravo, guys!
Now, let's get to the star of the show: the "LA Woman" pizza. Oh boy, this pizza had me singing "California dreamin'." It was a perfect harmony of flavors, with the gooey cheese, tangy tomato sauce, and a medley of toppings that made my taste buds do a happy dance. It's like they captured the essence of the city and put it on a pizza. Move over, Hollywood, there's a new star in town!
But wait, there's more! The gem salad was an absolute gem, if you'll pardon the pun. Crisp lettuce, vibrant veggies, and a dressing that was an explosion of flavors. It was like a party in my mouth, and everyone was invited. Who knew a salad could be so tasty? I certainly didn't, until I met John and Vinnys.
Now, let's talk about the "Ham and Easy" pizza. Warning: if you're not a fan of spice, proceed with caution. This pizza had some serious heat, but I absolutely loved it. The spiciness hit me like a fiery punch in the taste buds, but it was a punch I gladly took. It was like a rollercoaster for my mouth, with every bite taking me on a wild, flavor-packed ride. It's not for the faint of heart, but if you're up for a culinary adventure, give it a go!
Overall, my experience at John and Vinnys was a flavorful journey I won't soon forget. The thin crust, the "LA Woman" pizza, the gem salad, and the spicy goodness of the "Ham and Easy" pizza—everything came together like a symphony of deliciousness. So, if you're in Brentwood and craving a slice of heaven, head on over to John and Vinnys. Trust me, your taste buds will thank you, and your belly will do a happy dance....
Read moreon and Vinny's in Los Angeles is hands down one of my all-time favorite restaurants! This place lives up to all the hype and the long waits are absolutely worth it. The Salad Days pizza is a showstopper and I've shamelessly indulged in it over 20 times. It's so good that I'm almost embarrassed to admit it! But it's not just the Salad Days pizza, everything on the menu is delicious.
The White Lightening, Little Nats, Sonny's Favorite, La Woman, and Roman Gladiator pizzas are all incredible and have their own unique flavors that keep me coming back for more. And let me tell you about the Spicy Fusilli - it's out of this world! The combination of flavors and that perfect level of spiciness just hits the spot every time.
In fact, I've never had a bad dish at Jon and Vinny's. I love this place so much that I've taken countless photos of my meals, and I can't wait to go back through my camera roll to relive those delicious moments and upload them. The food, the atmosphere, and the overall experience at Jon and Vinny's are exceptional. It's no wonder why it's one of my most frequented restaurants in Los Angeles. If you haven't been there yet, make sure to put it at the top of your must-try list! You won't be disappointed. Highly...
Read moreOn the positive side, the food at Jon & Vinny's is consistently good! Their pizza is particularly great, and all of their pastas and sides I've tried have been good as well. But I do have one minor complaint and one major. The minor complaint is that the food coursing is just not something they really bother with... so in a party of four, we all got our entrees at different times, spaced a few minutes apart, which is pretty awkward to be honest. I guess at least they warn you about this. Not sure why they can't do what 95% of other restaurants do. But my biggest complaint is about their additional service fee. When your bill arrives, they will automatically add 18%, and stress/underline that this is NOT a tip and that the tip should be added on top of that. Why? So they can pay their serving staff a 'living wage'. Of course I'm happy that they pay their serving staff a living wage, but how about doing that the way every other business on earth does it... by building it into the price of your products? It actually feels pretty dishonest, and allows them to display/advertise lower prices than what they are actually charging. Also, isn't the tip meant to pay the...
