First of all, thank you for accommodating our order. The total was $285, and it was picked up by my husband along with his visiting friends from the Philippines.
This incident happened May 25, 2025.. When it was time to pay, my husband called me and said, "Can you try sending Zelle to this number? My Zelle is taking time to send a code." He was trying to send the payment to a new recipient, and Zelle required a verification code for security purposes. Unfortunately, the code was delayed, likely due to a poor internet connection. He stepped outside to get a better signal while his friends remained inside the store.
While he was outside, a lady wearing a black top, glasses, and with short hair--I'm not sure if she was staff or the owner--told my husband's friends that we needed to make sure we were paying, or she would call the police. This was said in a way that felt abrupt and accusatory, despite the fact that the situation was clearly a technical delay and we were actively trying to resolve it.
This kind of approach was upsetting and felt very unnecessary. We are all Filipinos, and we expected to be treated with a sense of respect and understanding--especially within our own community. If the woman is one of the owners, it's even more disappointing, as this interaction did not reflect the hospitality or professionalism expected from a business. Check out there freshly cooked main entrees down to the dessert. Their ginatan bilo bilo is delicious and breakfast served until 11am e.g. Tapsilog, longsilog, bangsilog, jepsilog is a must to try. We went there passed the breakfast hours the owner was so kind to cook fresh eggs to go with our bangsilog and jepsilog. Their customer service is not only very courteous, very polite and friendly group of staff. It's a must to try this restaurant. I will definitely go back and thinking of going for catering service.
