Update: Although Martha reached out to me to make corrections from my previous experience, this location does not have their online orders together. You pay ahead to skip the line and staff will still have you line up behind the morning rush even though your order is ready. What’s the point of online ordering and paying ahead if your staff still makes you wait? I will not be coming back to this location and hope to hear from management soon. Also, they have no manager on site to deal with potential issues. So if you have a problem, your best bet is leaving a negative review!
Previous review: If you order online from this La Monarca Bakery & Cafe location, don't expect it to be ready at the given time slot. Staff will tell you their printer is out of order, making online ordering seem low priority/completely inefficient. I ordered something for pick-up at "6:30 a.m.," when I arrived at 6:50 a.m., they had not even started the order. Read moreOne star for the Chavez Ave/LA location only because zero is not possible. We tried to order lunch there today for curbside pickup, directly thru their website. They took my credit card, sent a confirming email for the entire order and a text alert with the pickup time.
We arrived at the pickup time only to be told that they were out of burritos, so they didn't make either of the two wraps we ordered. For some other unexplained reason, they didn't make either drink or even put our one slice of cake in a to-go box.
What is going on here? They had both my email address and phone number, but couldn't be bothered to email, call or text? Why require that info if you're not going to use it? The counter worker had nothing to say, so she got her supervisor, who at least refunded the charge but wasn't particularly apologetic about it, either. The supervisor tried to blame it on a delivery app, but we ordered directly thru your website. Then she tried to blame the production side of the company. I stopped listening.

Read moreI got this cake for my foster daughter , we literally had to SKIP the cake . when i picked the cake out the one in the front of the display refrigerator looked really good , i didnt check the one put in the box for us . once i took it out of the fridge to sing her happy birthday, we saw how awful the strawberries looked . After singing her happy birthday i grabbed some of the wip cream to put on her face & she said it tasted horrible. ..im not sure what the correct term for this is but i tasted it and it taste like refrigerator. A really strong taste of it too. Nobody wanted cake . Im writing this review because its not fair that we had to skip this because they cant give us a dam good cake.
