Mashti Malone’s Ice Cream (est 2022) is LA’s iconic ice cream shop in Silverlake. It’s an Iranian family owned and operated business. They have other two LA locations Hollywood and Westwood.

I have walked past by this ice cream store while they’re building the store. I thought cool we have another ice cream store in the neighborhood. I thought the store’s name was unique. It’s my first time here since they opened in 2022. Mashti Malone has unique breadth of ice cream flavors; some I have never heard before. They offer samples for their customers to assuage customers’ decision making process easier.

Mashti Malone’s is hands-down one of the most special ice cream spots in LA. The flavors are unique, fresh, and absolutely delicious. If you’re looking for something beyond the usual chocolate and vanilla, this is the place to go. Their Persian-inspired flavors like rosewater, saffron pistachio, orange blossom, and herbal blends are incredible — aromatic, creamy, and perfectly balanced.

The service is friendly and welcoming, and you can tell they really care about their craft. Every bite feels like a treat you won’t find anywhere else.

The Turkish coffee ice cream I got was not a good texture at all. It was weirdly gooey. Not sure what was in the ingredients. I tried to find it on the website but the information is vague and doesn't tell the ingredients for each individual ice cream flavor. None of the ice cream on display looked good, like most of it looked weird and melted. I'm shocked this place has 4.5 stars.
