Coffee Memes Silver Lake — Restaurant in Los Angeles

Incredible place! Roo Coffee is located at the most unique place in Silver Lake. Street parking is manageable and since that section of the street is blocked off with giant flower pots no cars are allowed to drive in. It gives the public and chance to feel like they're in Europe and roam around freely. I've been to Brisbane, Australia before and given the fact that the owners are from there the whole cafe has that Aussie vibe, and of course menu. Steve was the person who greeted me and talk about the best personality! I felt like I had known him for a long time. His approach was extremely genuine and friendly. He recommended I get the salted caramel smoothie along with a famous coffee drink with chocolate shaved on top ( the way Aussies drink it). So of course I went with his recommendations and ordered both. Shortly after both my drinks came out. They were both delicious, as Steve has promised. The smoothie was so decadent yet so light and full of flavor. The coffee with the shaved chocolate on top gave it a nice kick with every sip. I was told that Roo coffee is known for their delicious food. Unfortunately the kitchen was closed so I didn't get a chance to try it. But fortunately I have more of a reason, as if I needed any more, to go back there again...

This coffee shop is small but such a gem. Super cute and trendy! Ambiance is tropical with Pastel colors. I got the fairy bread and the golden matcha iced latte, with oat milk. The latte has turmeric in it. When I got my latte, it tasted like a lot of turmeric and hardly any matcha. Nonetheless, the server added more milk / matcha and ended being great. The bread has colorful sprinkles and edible flowers on top of it. Aesthetically, it looked cute... Which is ultimately why I ordered it. When I took my first bite, I was shocked. So soft, buttery, and idk I feel like there is a hint of sugar added with the butter or something!!! Definitely not what I was expecting. Also, the sprinkles melt into your mouth since the bread itself is heated and drenched with butter. Fairy bread INDEED! I tasted my friends blueberry muffin and I wasn't impressed. It tasted pretty dry and mediocre. I prefer my muffins much more moist. The customer service was awesome. All the servers and baristas were so friendly and kind. I would...

We came here just fifteen minutes before it was closing. I understand the barista behind the counter was alone and maybe wanting to be done for the day. We placed our orders and he busied himself with prepping the coffees that he was placing on the counter with no names on them. By my mistake, I grabbed the coffee that wasn't and gave it to my friend, and when she realized the mistake, we apologized to the barista and to the girl waiting for the drink. The girl understood, but the barista put us a face, made us feel horrible, and spat that tea we grabbed needed to rest for ten minutes and that we basically have made the biggest mistake ever. We apologized but his attitude was really negative and dismissive. We left because of the bad energy he transmitted. I understand everybody is allowed to have bad days, and maybe yes, he wanted to get back home, but still, I don't think disrespect and creating those negative vibes are the solution. I hope he fixed his issues, because we let go, but we are not going...
