You cannot trust using the McDonald's app at the La Tijera Street McDonald's. Here's why: My mobile order -PB63- small coffee & sausage Mcmuffin, $2.18 pay thru app approximately 11:00 a.m drive thru teller tells me I hadn't paid and I said I use the app pleases push it thru the app. he says I can't. I responded yes, you can. I do it all the time. It'll print my receipt. He leaves the window and returns. Then he tells me I paid already & to drive forward because he can't give me a receipt. I will get the receipt email from McDonald's. Ok. I've received email receipts from McDonald's before. No problem.
50 minutes or so later I'm checking my email & the charge is $15.29!! I go back to McDonald's to speak to the mgr on duty, Cynthia. I explained to her what happened, and she asks did it go thru your bank yet? I said here's the email receipt so yes..it's going to hit my account and I want you to delete it. She says I can't do that! She leaves to see if there was an order for $15.29 around the time I ordered. So while waiting, I check my bank account to see if the charge is there & what do I see..TWO different McDonald charges, $1.00 & $2.84 but no $2.18!! Neither of those charges reflect what I ordered. I show this to the mgr Cynthia and asked why there are two charges that don't reflect my order & she says I don't care about that. All I want to know is did the $15.29 show in your account...Can you believe it!! That's what she said. Honest to God!! She doesn't care about the charges on my account! Now I'm steaming mad. So I asked Cynthia, how an order got on my app when I'm not here for $15.29 and why does it now show at 12:34 an order for a small coffee & a sausage mcmuffin which is what I ordered well over an hour ago? She says she's not familiar with the app. That's what she says!! She says for me to contact my bank and that's all she can do. I swear to God I was furious. To dismiss my concerns so easily but take my money so freely tells me a lot of what she thinks about customer service. I asked for corporate McDonald's number because she seemed unconcerned. She scribbled on a piece of paper the corporate number and tells me the name of the corporate office is Jones..what's does that even mean?? Frustrated with how she's handling this, I just tell her I'll figure it out & I left. I was almost in tears. No apology. Not an ounce of concern that it's McDonald's app. Not an ounce of concern for me as a customer.
I deleted my credit card info. My advice to you. Don't use the McDonald's app at the La Tijera location and demand a receipt. To be told it's my bank and not the app is ridiculous. The receipt is from McDonald's!! This location is uncaring & unkind. I've never in my life ordered a pumpkin pie, Carmel macchiato & whatever else is on that receipt. I see the sausage mcmuffin is zero & the sugar is zero'd out. I always use two creams two sugars inside! That teller never closed my order & didn't know what the hell he was doing and instead of somebody helping him he just pushed me forward & caused me grief on a Sunday morning. I never made it to 12:30 service because I wasted my time talking to an uncaring McDonald's mgr.! If I could give a negative star, I would!! You better believe In going to be watching my...
Read moreI took my grandkids to this location last night 8/30/2025 for dinner we went through their drive thru and our entire order wasn't in the bag so we handed the bag back to the person at the pick up and explain i had a free bday gift of nuggets , and the 1 one get one free so 1 order of nuggets were missing and this manager( Allison,Adalyn or something with an A, i was so appalled i was unable to retain her name)very young and usually pleasant accused myself my daughter of lying about not having our entire order. I went back and forth with her for a minute and she flat out told me I was lying about 6 nuggets and basically refused to deal with us sending her employees to the window with my requested refund of my two orders and refused to give me her regional manager's number. Now I don't use race as a factor but in this case she's accussing a almost 60 year old women driving a $65,000 car of trying to fraud her by saying we didn't get something when I received the same item as a free bday gift via their app is crazy! Would she have treated this way if I was Caucasian absolutely not she would have apologized and gave me the nuggets instead of being combative and leaving from trying to resolve my issue. She needs nit to worry because can't EVER GET ANYMORE OF MY MONEY!!!! I'll make sure whomever I know will also follow suit. Ppl beware of patronizing businesses that hire racists employees and put them in charge because if you don't have for the elderly than why are you dealing with the public. No no McDonald's for my grandkids because last night was...
Read moreAs an independent film producer living in Culver City, I work from home on certain days. What that means is I find myself at this McDonald’s more often than I care to admit—mainly because it’s just a few blocks from my girlfriend’s place. Ironically, it’s also not far from an apartment I used to share with a different ex. Every now and then, sitting in the parking lot waiting for a mobile order, I find myself wondering how she’s doing. I don’t want to go back to that relationship, but I do wish she could see how much I’ve grown since then. Maybe that wish alone says something about my own narcissistic tendencies.
Philosophical musings aside, this location is efficient, clean, and the drive-thru is clutch. The McDonald’s app, in particular, is a true retail innovation. It’s streamlined, rewarding, and shockingly effective at boosting my visit frequency. It’s wild to me that the cinema industry hasn’t taken notes. Post-pandemic, theaters are still trying to compete with streaming services for leisure time, yet they’ve barely scratched the surface of mobile engagement.
If exhibition’s real margins are in concessions, then maybe it’s time for cinema chains to explore deeper integration with major food corporations. Imagine AMC partnering with someone like PepsiCo or even—dare I say—McDonald’s. If I can order a Big Mac and a movie ticket in the same app? That’s a night out. That’s culture.
Anyway, fries were hot....
