ive had this bookmarked for so long! I was eating across the street and was delighted to see it was so close by.
W went here after lunch on a weekend (Saturday), and there was only 2 people in line. You order on the iPad up front. and your order comes out through the other window. there is a bench nearby that you can sit on, that's the only seating!
anyways, I got the creme brûlée crepe with plain custard and custard base! I was afraid it would be too sweet, but it was actually very good. There is custard all the way down to the bottom! I was surprised to see that the creme brûlée was not only at the top, but there were bits and pieces of caramelized crunchy sugar throughout the entire crepe as well.
on a few reviews, they do mention that the crepe is not light with crunchy edges like a true crepe, but dense and a bit thick. I did not mind it and it helped to hold in all the custard inside. It was still worth it in my opinion.
The crepe isn't something you must sit down to eat, but can walk around and take bites out of.
I don't usually come here because Sawtelle has terrible parking and driving here is also a huge hassle. So if I was in the area again, I would...

I used to go there once a week and try ignore the bad costumer service as the crepe is the best, but not anymore. It’s not worth it, there are other good crepes in the area. I don’t like to write those things, but this time it’s necessary, as today I experienced the worst costumer service I ever experienced. I’m always taking a Nutella & nuts crepe with strawberries and ask for my strawberries on the side. Today, for the first time I have been told I can’t do it. When I kindly tried to explain I’m coming there once a week and I always do it - Ivy was very rude and raised her voice at me saying “I’m not going to say again you can’t, and I’m not going to argue “ , I asked her not to raise her voice at me and I wanted to speak to a manager. Then, she ROLLED her eyes at me , turned around and said “no one is in charge here , you can email”. I brought sooo many friends there over the years and I was so humiliated today that till someone tells me this matter will be solved I won’t show my face there and neither my friends .

They forgot the bananas and I wasn’t up set at all. But the guy I told my order was incorrect had an attitude and just stared at me with a “so what do you want me to do about it” attitude! I asked if he could remake it and he walked away without saying anything. Then a lady came up to the window and I had to repeat to her. Still I didn’t get upset until I watched him remake it with little to no effort. Two bananas instead of three and very little sugar for the crème brûlée. When I brought it to his attention again he stared at me without saying anything or fixing it! In addition I felt this guy and the other staff were having an inappropriate conversation about my order! I wish I would have just kept the one with no bananas. This visit made me feel as if I did something wrong opposed to him making an error. Everyone makes errors but when it’s met with attitude is so wrong. I will not be returning. Horrible experience! I didn’t even finish eating it and threw it away....
