I see where all the baby-hipsters come from! Nestled right in USC territory (next to Bacaro LA), this cute coffee shop is shabby-chic and so spot on. They have mason jar drinks and lighting, great baked breakfast pastries and egg-sandwiches, cold-press juice and coffee, and anything your hipster heart could want!
Free wifi, and many tables have surge protectors. So clearly, the study crowd was doing their thing here. It was full, but not over-packed. A pleasant weekend spot for sure.
I had the quiche, which was really more of an egg pastry in filo dough, but DELICIOUS! The egg was fluffy and not heavy at all, and it was quite tasty, coming with a side salad. Also got to try their egg sandwich, with egg, ham, and bacon on sourdough, and added an avocado. so filling and great!
The iced coffee was delicious - just what you need in a university setting. I also had a great juice.
Definitely adding this to my brunch-dtla-ish repetoire.

This was my very first visit here and I initially stopped by for soup. But the soup is usually served @11a and I was an hour early. So after 10mins of deciding I went with the tofu scrambled on a crossant. With sweet potato added and a chai latte/almond milk. Man was everything good the latte was perfect no sugar needed. So thank you to the gurl who hooked it up in the kitchen. The sandwich had me stuffed so yummy vegetables cooked just right. This was a great visit and I will be back. Thanks Sue for being professional, hospitable and knowing your stuff. To the cook that damn tofu was really good and I'm not a fan of tofu at all. You won me over.😊 You guys are really winners here thank you again.
P.S The atmosphere is so chill and comfortable and the music playlist has...
Read moreNature's Brew is a quaint little coffee shop located right by the 10 freeway, about a mile away from USC (so naturally, the place is crawling with Trojans.) They offer coffee, pastries, sandwiches, and more. There's plenty of seating in the morning, and relatively quiet as well. I've heard the atmosphere changes at night (there is a piano, so musicians here go crazy), but I'll have to update my review when I come at night next time. (:
I ordered a vanilla latte with a bagel and cream cheese. The coffee was simply divine. I could literally have it for breakfast every day! The bagel was okay. I felt like I could've made it myself at home.
The prices here are decent; not too terrible. It does get a little bit more on the pricey side, however, so keep that in mind. Overall, although it's not my beloved Buster's Coffee in South Pas,...
