My family and I have been customers at Paco’s for many years. Originally we would dine at the location on Centinela, but started to frequent the Manchester location because it’s bigger and parking was easier. The waiters and waitresses have always been super kind and attentive to my family, especially my mother, so I was quite disappointed when I received bad customer service twice this week! I went on 10/04/2020 and was told that the wait time was 10-15 minutes, but I waited 45 minutes before I decided to leave. While I understand that the wait time is unpredictable, especially during these times, people who got there after with the same amount of people in my party were being sat before us. I had three very hungry children with me and decided to leave because I saw that we were going to be waiting longer. I decided to go back today, 10/07/2020, because like I mentioned, I grew up with Paco’s and ultimately love their food, but I was even more disappointed! First off, we did get seated immediately this time, but waited more than 10 minutes to get our chips and salsa or even a greeting, really. After getting our chips and salsa, the waiter took another 10 minutes just to get our drink order. While he was getting our drink order, a big group arrived( looked like maybe they were family or very well known customers of Paco’s) and MOST of the waiters were crowding and being very attentive to that party. While I did not care about that, I did care that the group already had their drinks and orders of guacamole served BEFORE we even had our drinks served. When our drinks arrived, we waited another ten minutes to place our dinner order and when we did, the server seemed to be rushing me. Knowing that there were 5 in our party, he kept assuming I was done ordering by the second order. All this time, we were done with our chips and salsa and was NEVER asked if wanted a refill. We weren’t asked if we wanted corn or flour tortillas and we weren’t asked if wanted a drink refill while dining. While I get that the transition has been difficult for all of us and we are all cautious because of COVID, I couldn’t help but to feel disappointed in the staff because I have never had a bad experience. We ordered take-out frequently during the shutdown because we wanted to support one of our favorite restaurants, but I am not sure I will be returning because I felt like they were forced to attend us rather than help us. I really hope they can improve their customer...

Read moreLived in this neighborhood for a couple of years and we would come here regularly to eat. We came for a stay after moving away and I was wanting to have a good meal with my travel mate so we chose Paco’s for lunch. Not crowded and were seated quickly, no wait. Place looked the same and service was good and our food arrived quickly. My mate ordered carnitas tacos and I wanted a tostada. When the food arrived my first thought was that neither of us ordered what we thought we’d ordered based upon our knowledge of Mexican food. Carnitas are typically pork which is in small chunks and has some crispiness. Her tacos were in a sauce which was very wet and the meat was stringy and full of fat which she had to constantly spit out. My tostada which typically is a fried crispy corn tortilla with beans and cheese as the base with whatever you choose to add was not anything like that? It was a fried flour tortilla made to look like a bowl shape with beans on the bottom, tough pieces of chicken with gristle, then shredded lettuce, ripe olives and cheese. I couldn’t even chew the chicken and the whole thing was a major disappointment. We picked at our food, disgusted by the lack of quality and not pleased that we’d wasted a fair amount of $$ on lunch we found to be less than palatable. My takeaway on this is that I will ask specifics about how menu items are prepared and never assume again. I checked and there was no description on their menu of what we would receive. My friend lived in MX for 10 years and she was also quite surprised about what we received. So much great MX food in LA so I’d say move on to...
