This place has been in business since 1956 by the same loving latino husband and wife. I onced lived in this area over 10 years ago. I banked at the nearby Chase and shopped at the Ralph's and Riteade across the street. However, I never knew about this place. I guess I just wasnt a donut kinda girl then. Especially coming from TX were Shipley's Donuts still reign suprem. I was recently introduce to this little corner nugget by a co-worker. I decided to go and see what the hoopla. When I entered I was instantly greeted by the Bestes customer service employee Enrique (Henry). His smile and attitude had me buying more donuts than I had planned. There were sooo many freshly baked options. I opted for the original Buttermilk glazed old fashion style. I bought the small version (with regrets because I now want the larger one), Apple fritter (holy cannoly sooo dang good), cake donut glazed with cinnamon cake crumbles, chocolate glazed mini oldfashion ( meh, not my favorite) and a raised yeast twist. They were all pretty good. Not too sweet and best of all NOT GREASY! I ate them alllll by myself ( yes, while singing that tune). I went back again two days around 3pm to buy another old fashion but they were all sold out. So I suggest to get there earlier in the day. This time I bought a bacon maple glazed and a cinnamon rugelach style donut. I'm kinda over the bacon maple glaze...nothing too exciting. Hey, Don't fret if you are vegan there are many options available too. I will post my vegan experience on my next visit. Today! Prices are very reasonable. If you are coffee drinkers they serve StompTown coffee. Parking available in the back. There are a few tables indoors and outdoors for seating. I haven't gone during peak hours so no issues with service and parking. But I am told that it does get stupid busy and they...

It's a really cute and charming shop filled with a variety of freshly baked donuts. We usually judge a doughnut shop by their glaze, so naturally, my boyfriend and I gravitated to those. We were planning on grabbing a doughnut each, but after speaking with the owner Ralph, we actually ended up going home with a box of 8 (2 of which were on the house).

Ralph was super friendly and made a simple doughnut run into an awesome experience. He gave us a little background about the history of the shop and guided us with picking some of their best-sellers.

We ended up going home with the buttermilk, glazed, cinnamon twist, jelly-filled, cinnamon butterflies, and chocolate (from the left clockwise). Ralph recommended the buttermilk donut since that is what they are known for. I'm so glad he did because it was delicious. The more bites I took, the more I fell in love with it. I'm usually not a big fan of the "cakey" doughnut but this one was so moist and the contrast of the crunchy sweet outside with the soft fluffy inside was delish. I would definitely recommend getting a half dozen/dozen and try a bite of each to find...

One of LA's hidden gems! I started not to write this review (I feel kinda of silly)my hubby is the Donut Monster, he truly love Donut's! This was my first time going to Primo's and I didn't have my phone with me. The owner is a sweetheart and the employees are awesome. I had to purchase several different kinds of Donuts because my hubby will eat Donut's from the store or even 7-11, Lol They offer several flavors (I had to purchase a maple buttermilk donut as well as a warm glazed one for me) and the prices are reasonable. I have passed this place for years and never saw it, the reason I was able to find it is because of an email with a Youtube video attached to it and they were interviewing the owner. He seemed so nice and I fell in love with his story about how Primo's Donuts came to fruition. It is an old school type of business and have been around for over 5 decades (I think he said 59 years) AMAZING. They are online and have a menu of the many flavors, they accept credit cards. They now have a new satisfied customer. Not easily seen from the main street unless you are looking for it. I highly recommend...

I was so excited when I got there because I've been wanting to go there for a while until finally I was able to go to CA but when I went inside after waiting for 15 minutes outside practicing social distancing I come to the surprise that the guy in the back who is preparing the dough or doughnuts is not wearing a mouth cover and they have a sign on the door saying you can't go in if you're not wearing a mask Lol and when I mentioned this to the cashier, how can this be possible were they are making us wear a mouth cover while his cook is not wearing one and her attitude change to a negative side, I definitely will never go back to this place.
