This is the 3rd Prince Street Pizza location I have procured slices from in testament. The first location was Prince Street Pizza in New York City. The second location was Prince Street Pizza in the Arts District of Downtown. I have also paid my respects to the West Hollywood location and the Colony Kitchen which houses the ghost kitchen version of Prince Street PIzza... and, sans the original Prince Street PIzza in New York City this Prince Street Pizza location is my current favorite. Let's just say, that if I were to return consistently to Prince Street Pizza in Los Angeles - this would be my choice given the information I disclosed to you just now.
This is the only time in my life I have entered a Prince Street Pizza location and the staff was friendly and said Hello and Hi with energy and smiled and also presented their Pizza in an organized way and were willing to actually talk at length with me as I had to do a thorough investigation on this Za. This time I tried the Maghertia and Pepperoni Square slices. Now I have a clearer understanding of the dynamic of the sauce, cheese and dough here. Due to not shipping their water in from New York, we are missing some energy and magic here but... the sauce is a little sweet, the pepperoni is ideal, the margherita was done well. Okay, so now I know also if I want to order a full round Pie, this is the Prince Street location in Los Angeles that can be trusted with it possibly.
The oven is really good that they have, they have a decent celebrity wall but I really should be put up on it soon for being a Top P Reviewer but that score will be settled in due time. Yeah. So this is the Prince Street location I personally think is the best in Los Angeles but we'll see after I try it in West Hollywood if that one is actually the best but vibe wise, it being pleasant and enjoyable and feel good-wise - this is my favorite Prince Street. Save the New York abuse for when there is New York water present cause you're in New York. I'll take my New York Style Pizza Venice side for now. Thanks. Much better than the one in Downtown in both quality and customer service and energy.
Here's my jingle for Prince Street Pizza

Read moreFor a journey centered around LA's most delicious pizza, Prince St. Pizza on Lincoln Blvd stands out as an exceptional choice. Situated within a mere three-mile radius of the enchanting Venice/Santa Monica coastline, this inviting establishment boasts a cozy ambiance and a diverse selection of mouthwatering square and classic slices, as well as whole pies.
My visit to Prince St. Pizza took place just past noon on Wednesday, revealing a pleasantly subdued and tranquil atmosphere. The hospitable staff contributed to the overall positive experience, providing detailed explanations of the menu. They elucidated the nuances of the Yelp experience, presenting the option to savor either the Spicy Spring or the Prince Perfection.
Opting for the Spicy Spring—a square pizza adorned with piquant tomato sauce, fresh mozzarella, and an abundance of cupped pepperoni—I also indulged in the Sunset Square, featuring 'sunset' marinara, fresh mozzarella, pecorino romano, and garlic. The pizzas were swiftly prepared, and I brought them home to relish. Upon opening the box, a tantalizing aroma enveloped the room. After crisping up the slices in the oven, the moment of tasting arrived.
The Spicy Spring proved to be a square-sliced masterpiece, boasting a crisp crust, a savory sauce, and a generous portion of pepperoni. A touch of red pepper flakes and a drizzle of local organic honey served to harmonize the spiciness and sweetness, creating a symphony of flavors and textures that was truly sublime.
Equally impressive was the Sunset Square, distinguished by a zestful sunset sauce, velvety cheese, and an explosion of flavors from the garlic. The crust, simultaneously crispy and chewy, enhanced the overall dining experience, prompting me to savor each bite as though it were my last.
Without reservation, I assert that Prince St. Pizza stands among the elite pizzerias on the west side, offering authenticity, culinary excellence, and satiating portions. The pizzas are a testament to their commitment to quality, and the friendly service only amplifies the overall dining pleasure. Do not be dissuaded by the unconventional square shape of their pies; Prince St. Pizza is a culinary excursion worth undertaking for any pizza aficionado seeking a tantalizing glimpse of New York in the...
Read moreDO NOT order online takeout from this place. I placed my order online and it quoted me an hour until pickup time. When I arrived 10 mins early the lady at the counter seemed confused about my order but told me it should be ready on time because she sees it in the system.
I proceeded to sit there waiting for 10 minutes until my scheduled time, still nothing. It was NOT busy and there was maybe a couple at most who came in while I was waiting. Then another 15 minutes, expecting some kind of update or something from the worker I had spoken to until finally I get up and ask what's going on. They get the manager and talk amongst themselves for a few minutes before the manager grabs a pizza that's been sitting on top of the oven for a while and hands it to me. I ask if I can get one that hasn't been just sitting out for 20 minutes but he insists it was made "just a few minutes ago."
At this point I was tired of waiting so I took it home to find it was definitely not made just a few minutes ago. I've had Prince Street before from the downtown location freshly reheated and it was incredible, but this was not it. From the disorganization and non-existent service, to the long wait and the sub-par lukewarm food. Especially for a shop that charges $40 before...
