It took my group of five friends at least twenty minutes to pay for dinner.
We go inside and there's no staff members around. We had to wait a good five minutes before a staff member came out of the kitchen to help us. He rudely tells us we can't get separate checks because they're busy tonight. There's a couple problems with that: The last time we went to Pyramido, we had no trouble getting separate checks from the same guy! So our reward for coming back is downgrading our service. The second problem is that this restaurant is two thirds empty, and that's "busy" to them. Two thirds empty doesn't look very busy to me.
We put our cash and credit cards together and we're ready to pay, but another group walks in and the staff guy helps them pay. Finally, this guy gets to us. He counts our money and says we're missing five dollars. Did he just pocket it? So instead of waiting for us to plop down the five bucks, he leaves again to help another new group pay.
Then he goes to help a table set up their hookah. He even takes a couple minutes to smoke and get all friendly with these people. Seriously. He left us there, standing like idiots, to smoke hookah... right in front of us. We see The Waiter walk by. (This place has one waiter on duty) We ask him for help and he says we've got to talk to this guy who keeps blowing us off. FINALLY our guy comes back and we complete the twenty minute transaction. This guy didn't seem the least bit sorry for such poor customer service. I told this guy "Thank you so much. Have a great night!" and he wished me the same. I don't think he even got it. Do yourself a favor and eat or smoke somewhere else. Seriously! Treat yourself to something good tonight. As you bite into whatever you're eating, or blow fruit flavored rings through the air, take a moment to be thankful that you...
Read moreThis place needs more recognition! The man who owns Pyramido also cooks and serves. He pretty much runs the place by himself, and does a fantastic job. All of the sauces are made there, even the marinara you get with your freshly made mozzarella sticks, and you can really tell! The hookah is the best in the area. Like it was said in another review, the service is a bit "slow" but to me, never bad. Everyone who works here is awesome and really nice. If you ever need something and it's taking a bit for someone to walk over, just go and ask and they're super cool. I come here about 3 times a week it's so great. Cheers...
Read moreI don't get where all these bad reviews r coming from. I have been to over a dozen hookah bars/ Mediterranean restaurants that offer hookah and this is by far right up there with all the ones I've enjoyed. Top of the line hookah/food is authentic & about all these comments about slow service r very true I will agree with you on that. However you have to understand that hookah and this culture is a'll about a slower pace environment to relax and enjoy the moment. We as Americans really need to slow down and start...
