Honestly I loved most of everything. The servers were great, the selection was good but I’m specifically giving it a 1-star because of there slimy business practices and I just want every customer to be aware of this. They add a $1.50 fee if you want a drink from the cooler. Now normally I would be ok with this but they are incredibly sneaky with this. After receiving my bill I saw this fee, I asked the friendly bartender what it was and he told me that it’s a fee and that it was posted on the cooler. I checked the cooler and is purposely the smaller , hardest to read label I’ve ever seen. Even going back specifically to find, it was a challenge. They need to change this. I have been to plenty of places in LA with similar buy from the cooler systems and I’ve never heard of this. They need to either have clear labels or train there staff to inform customers as they sit down. This is a gross business practice and I will not be coming back. It’s a shame too cause I enjoyed this place up...
Read moreEvery neighborhood should have a place like Hop Merchants Bottle Shop in it. This is the place to go for craft beer and beers on tap.
Looking to grab a four pack of the latest from your favorite craft brewery? This is the place to go. There are rows of fridges filled with cans and bottles of the best beers in the area. (Note: if you're looking for Bud or Coors, look elsewhere. This is small scale craft beer only.) The selection is wide and you're pretty much guaranteed to find something you'll like.
And when you go in, step up to the bar and get a draft. There's a very neighborhoody feel here. It's not unusual to find folks chatting with each other and making friends. And, of course, the beers on tap are great. They rotate on a fairly regular basis, so there'll always be something new and interesting to sample.

Read moreNice selection and friendly staff but if you’re going to carry beers that cost eight dollars a bottle you need to turn those coolers down —-47° doesn’t cut it. I don’t care about the eight dollars for the bottle of beer. You need to turn those coolers down. Come on now don’t be cheap.
And in response to your response, blah blah blah blah blah excuses, excuses whatever it’s OK I’m not coming back
The proper response would’ve been to just apologize maybe even offer a refund Enjoy one star. I hope you go out of business soon. The Fridge Police. That’s a great name for a punk band. Actually made me laugh. And you’re welcome for the review. It’s not often that I’ll spend this much time on anyone so you should feel lucky.
Oh my God, you actually fixed your coolers well, that’s nice because you’re the only ones open till 11 around...
