Ramona's Mexican Food — Restaurant in Los Angeles

I stopped here for dinner on a Wednesday evening. It was my first visit at this facility. I searched online to view the menu. I was particularly interested in ground beef enchiladas with green chili. I just say I was not impressed.

Upon receiving my meal, the dish looked like all the ingredients were thrown in an aluminum plate shaken together. I could not tell where the enchiladas began, nor could I find the beans as they were drowned in green Chile. I had to separate the food to take a picture. I was disappointed to observe the minimal amount of beans and rice included in the meal.

The cashier asked me if I wanted corn or flour tortillas on the side. I requested corn tortillas but they were very hard by the time I opened the package.

The Ground beef enchiladas I ordered did not taste like ground beef. The "beef" taste like canned Corn beef hash wrapped in a stale tortilla.

Additionally, I ordered a drink with my meal, but the Diet Coke was not sweetened, rather, it taste like club soda. The design on the Cub where is very clean with only Ramona's logo. For a company that has been around since 1947 to have a very plain cup had me perplexed.

Ate there twice - BOTH times PROBLEMS with order and temperature/quality of food.

FIRST VISIT:::::::::::::::::::I should have known during my First visit this was a bad FOODIE IDEA!!!!! The workers (ALL) had slumber, non-friendly attitudes and their uniforms were dirty. The eating areas were not the most sanitized.. More workers BEHIND the cash register than in the dinning lobby keeping the area presentable....Ordered 6 chicken tacos (3 without the spice salsa due to son's sensitive stomach). Received ALL spicy tacos so of course I immediately called into the manager and expressed my ordeal - which she kindly rectified the issue upon my return....Compared to the incorrect order THE CORRECT ORDER WAS NOTABLY FRESHER...........SECOND VISIT: again requested 6 chicken tacos - drove home (15 minutes away) bit into WEIRD LOOKING MEAT (beef). AGAIN, had to drive BACK TO GET THE CORRECT ORDER OF 6 C-H-I-C-K-E-N TACOS.... Will NOT be returning to this establishment .... !!! NOT WORTH THE TIME...

WOW!! Soooo Yummy!! Real Mexican Food. When I walked in, I had no idea what to expect since I'd never been here before, but I will definitely be back. The food was Hot, Flavorful, and FRESH FRESH FRESH!! The menu is uncomplicated and they mostly serve Enormous Burritos with different fillings and toppings. I decided to get the plate, which was like an open face burrito with the flour tortillas on the side. You can choose corn if you like. I forgot how good rice and beans could truly be if they are prepared correctly ("Mexican Style" not bland California no flavor style). The main dish was the most tender, flavorful beef or pork in a beef broth gravy with green chilies. Oh, I was in Heaven. I can't believe I ate everything. It's a LOT OF FOOD! The restaurant and food serving area was clean and the people behind the counter were very very nice, even when I asked them several questions since it was my first time. Okay now...
