Orleans & York Crenshaw — Restaurant in Los Angeles

Catfish Po Boy was not fresh, you know when catfish has that fishy taste. Slight chemical aftertaste that smelled ironically like the restaurant. At first I was like, oh they keep it clean in here. But maybe like I’ve read in other reviews there are times they’re contaminating the food. I think maybe someone is cooking and cleaning with the same gloves/hands and they’re passing near expired or expired fish off due to it being fried. Frying food doesn’t equate to cleanliness or good taste.

However! The service was exceptional and they’re super nice and accommodating to elders and folks in the community. Everyone e is treated with respect and they employ young folks. The Sweet Potato Praline cake was delightful, as well as the lemonades!

I like to leave a transparent and balanced review and this place is right in the middle on my first impression. Advice to the owners on seafood, figure out the right volume and audit your seafood. If it ain’t fresh, don’t serve it, rather be sold out due to under buying than giving people sickness and them leaving...

Hey you guys so I'm back with my Review from Orleans and York on Crenshaw and I like this location became there is a lot of parking in back if the front is full because the one was Slauson was crazy small but anyway. I ordered delivery and let me tell yall it came fast like this delivery driver was not playing about bringing me this food yall and yall know I tipped a little extra anyways. I have been here and the place is nice and the service is always great. So I ordered the shrimp po boy, chicken strips with lemon pepper and corn beef on rye and let me tell yall all the food was fresh, hot and so delicious very 🔥🔥🔥🔥😍😍😍. Like the bread on my po boy tasted like it was baked on the spot. And them lemon pepper strips on my God yall I'm telling yall they was on point that night. The total was 85.08 yall but let me tell you it was worth it. One of my favorite spots. Orleans & York has been a beloved go-to for me, especially when I'm not watching my weight. Their accommodating service, even near closing, is truly commendable. My usual order, the oyster po boy with crispy fried oysters, toasted baguette, cheddar cheese, and no lettuce, is a flavorful delight.

The chicken clam bisque is an absolute standout, and the extensive menu never fails to offer something delicious. With every dish I've tried, I've been thoroughly satisfied. Their beverage selection is equally impressive, adding to the overall dining experience.

This place holds a special place in my heart, as it was one of my mom's favorite takeout spots (RIP🙏). My family has been loyal patrons since the first Orleans & York opened on Slauson. The staff, from cashiers to cooks, are simply awesome. I'm grateful to have such a gem in the neighborhood, and I cherish the memories that this place...
