I’ve been watching and waiting for this location to open. After 4-5 years wait, they must of had Grand Opening over the weekend. I went yesterday with my son. We wanted to support the new location. Three cars in the parking lot including mine. Great, we won’t have a long wait. Parking attendant walked us in. He was waiting for waiter/waitress to acknowledge us. Waitress passed by, he said “these folks are waiting to be seated.” Waitress mumbled something as she kept walking. Clearly embarrassed, he apologized and said someone would be with you. And went outside. That should have been my clue “Too Leave.” Waited another minute or so. Looking around, I saw one waitress one waiter and one cook. Two tables were occupied with customers. I stepped further into the restaurant waiting for someone to acknowledge us. Finally, waiter turned around and said he’ll sit us in a minute. He asked where would you like to sit. We sat down and ordered our meals. I asked for plasticware. Waiter came back with a plastic fork on top of a napkin. Apologized for not having plastic knife. Since this Pandemic, I’ve started carrying plasticware in my car. I picked up two sets. Waiter was bringing meal to table as I returned. I ordered two plates of chicken and waffles, potato with gravy, scrambled eggs and biscuit. Two lemonades. Lemonade didn’t taste like lemonade. Butter didn’t melt on waffle because waffle was served room temperature. “Eggs” were obviously one egg. Potatoes and gravy were small almost mashed smothered in “cold” gravy. Chicken was dry and also room temperature, with a warm spot in the middle. I picked at my meal while I waited for waiter to ask “how’s everything.” Instead I see him talking to “The Cook” as he walked out the front door. I waited for him to return, but, must of been off work. He never returned. At this time my son and I were the only customers. Waited for acknowledgement from waitress so I can ask for my check. Never came. I went to her to ask for my check. She said go to cashier to pay. I told cashier I’d like to pay. Cashier asked me “What was the number of my table.” WHAT!!! I told him all the food was served room temperature. He said “Sorry to hear that.” $63.00 And will Never return. This new location would benefit from training All employees to be...
Read moreWe finally had the chance to visit this Roscoe's & take my uncle to try the fried chicken. He wasn't into eating a waffle at lunch, but he devoured that biscuit with the gravy on the rice. I had the tasty 3 wing with greens combo, sadly no biscuit on my combo, but was not expecting the wings to be a bigger size. Also, ordered a side of slaw and mac & cheese, both were good and creamy & I highly recommend the lemonade w fruit punch combo, the Sunset.
This location highly deserves the 5 stars for the service because as soon as we walked in, we were asked if we needed special seating area for my uncle and his wheelchair. They accomodated him by removing a chair & not just having him sit on the edge where he would of been bumped by the customers. Also, had a great server Pedro, who kept checking on us and noticed my uncle wasn't eating too much because he said he was full and offered him the to go box to keep his food warm in case he wanted to eat as we finished.
I am picking up something different to try the next time I am in the area. By the way, this location was very clean and the parking, though small & somewhat tight at the Washington entrance, they have an attendant to guide you to the...
Read moreMy family and I went there after church upon arriving it was 17 of us. We get to the door and there's a sign that says they don't split checks and cash only sorry for the inconvenience. After inquiring, their credit card machine was down they do have a ATM available. We decided to stay, the only good thing was they were able to accommodate us We took up 3 tables it took about 15 minutes For our waiter Dwight to come and take our orders. It seemed like they only had 2 waiters/ waitress And one cook cooking. After about almost 30 minutes my table which was the last table to order. The 1st 2 tables got their food, so by the time we got our food the 1st 2 tables were almost finished eating. Now I must say our food was really tasty and fresh. The chicken was a nice size, the eggs and grits we good. We finished up got to go boxes, the waiter brought us 3 checks for each table and they were all confusing and not right. All I can say that the inside and outside landscape was nice, clean and bright a bit different from the pico location. I guess the person working the register was the owner but he wasn't too apologetics, but I...
