Smack Burgers — Restaurant in Los Angeles

I don’t care if smack burger hire employees that do drugs while at work. But yesterday I had a bad experience in customer service I almost had to defend my self from hostile employees after I try to let him know that he did not take my order right. This is what happened! Me and my wife wanted to try Smack Burger because it look really good and it was in the neighborhood. We arrived and I was looking at the menu and I ordered 2 different burgers special and he asked me if the order was for here or to go I said for here but when I received my food I only got 1 burger special I tough my wife food was coming out but nothing I waited for 5 minutes before I look at my bank account and I noticed he only charged me for 1 meal I did not get my receipt to save paper. I waited in line to order my wife food I was trying to give advice to the employee that next time he should read the order back and he when off on me saying your not going to CHECK ME!!!! I said I’m only giving you advice you do work in public I so he said you still want the food I said yes so I ordered my wife food and he was so angry he made me wait a little longer for my wife food while my burger was setting outside in the cold when we got her food he put it in a paper bag instead of a tray like my plate I did not say nothing no more my food was cold so really can tell you if the food was good. It was cold! When I was ordering my food I had to keep repeating my self and he seemed really high on something. This incident...

I saw the restaurant from the street, at first I didn't think it was what I was looking for.

Though, the restaurant i was coming for initially happened to exceed how much I wanted to spend for lunch. Not that it wouldn't have been worth it.

So I ended up walking into this location and lucky for me they have a happy hour until 6pm, this fit exactly into my budget desires for this meal. Which was less than $20.

So it's a burger joint, keep that in mind. Without doing any research it also seems to be a San Francisco theme with titles including "bay" or "hella".

It's a small burger patty, with concepts like using tallow for cooking.

I ordered the hellapeno burger with fries and a soda, and happy hour prices.

The burger was solid, and is clearly a smash patty, it had honey on it which made it a tiny bit messier than initially thought. Overall a solid burger that filled me up.

The staff was nice and clearly glad for my business, I was tended to at my table and asked if I wanted refills. More positive customer service than most small locations tend to offer without asking for it.

Over all when I'm in the area I would not hesitate to come back in or even bring a friend. It's not too far from major attractions like the la brea tar pits and LA Art museum.
