First of all, the food was extremely spicy — even though we specifically asked for no spice due to dietary restrictions. They ignored our request completely and still served us very spicy dishes. This shows a clear lack of attention to customer needs and preferences.
We ordered chicken wings, and they were some of the worst we’ve ever had. Very tough, dry, and almost impossible to chew. It felt like they had been cooked hours before and simply reheated. There was no flavor, no juiciness — just dryness and disappointment.
The service was also a major issue. The staff did not speak or understand English, which made it extremely difficult to communicate. We tried to explain our requests clearly, but they were not understood at all. There was no effort to clarify or accommodate us. It felt like we were being ignored.
To make matters worse, the prices are shockingly high for what they serve. The food quality and service are far below average, yet the pricing suggests this is a premium restaurant. There is absolutely no value for money here.
Overall, this place does not deserve a high rating. Poor food, poor service, overpriced — and a complete disregard for the customer’s needs.
❗ I do NOT recommend this restaurant to anyone. Save your money and go somewhere that respects its customers and knows how to cook...
Read moreThe owner here truly has a passion for food. I never imagined kimbop could taste this good! Each roll is packed with fresh, high-quality ingredients, and you can feel the effort and care put into every bite.
But this place isn't just about kimbop--the other dishes are just as incredible. We tried the kimbops(egg bomb, bulgogi, tunamayo, spicy pork), kimchi fried rice, rose topoki, sausage-and-rice-cake skewers, shrimp tempura hand roll, and the newly launched mayo mala chicken. (Yes, we ordered a lot because we live far away and wanted to take some home--it was just that good!)
Everything was absolutely delicious. My husband said the kimchi fried rice was the best he's ever had. The mayo mala chicken, made with a house-developed sauce, was unlike anything I've tasted before. It starts sweet and finishes with a subtle, spicy mala kick that keeps you coming back for more--it's perfectly balanced and not overwhelming at all.
If you're in LA and searching for truly amazing kimbop, this is the...
Read moreThis place is honestly lucky I’m even giving it two stars. The poke I was served was completely undercooked and ended up making me sick with mild food poisoning and diarrhea. That is absolutely unacceptable when it comes to handling seafood.
Yes, the rice had good flavor and the shrimp was cooked well, but none of that matters when the main dish makes you sick. The only reason this isn’t a one-star review is because the cashier had great customer service and was respectful — but good manners at the counter can’t make up for unsafe food coming out of the kitchen.
If you value your health, I would strongly recommend only ordering items that are fully cooked here. Undercooked seafood is dangerous, and this place should know better. Overall, this was a disappointing and frustrating experience I would not want anyone else...
