I came at 3:30 on a Friday and met someone there. That must be when the shift changes, because we ordered food and drinks, and then watched the bartender just completely check out. So much so they pulled cash out of the registered and fanned themselves with it. Two other employees came on shift, and neither seemed particularly interested in working or acknowledging our presence. In fact, the old bartender and the new bartender leaned on the back of the wall with their arms crossed just talking. NO ONE checked on us for OVER AN HOUR. I desperately wanted more ketchup, but nope, no one even paid attention. We finished our drinks and would have gone a second round or even third, but nope, the conversation was more important. And wherever the second bartender disappeared to, she was never to be seen again then entire time we were there. I didn’t even finish my fries because they got cold during the HOUR I waited for a bartender to acknowledge my presence for some damn ketchup because the fries were covered in so much salt they were inedible without the ketchup. When we finally flagged down a bartender (again, after AN HOUR), she literally gave us a “uhuh” look and kept chatting with the old bartender for another FIFTEEN MINUTES before she came around to check on us, and when we asked for the check (because she never bothered to ask if we wanted more of anything or notice our drinks and waters were totally gone and our food was cold, only respond with a curt “you ok?”) was quick to circle the part of the check for the highest tip amount. On top of that, they charge a “security fee” - like lol what? There weren’t any security guards and there’s no explanation whatsoever of what is purportedly being “secured.” Bar is clearly playing off the novelty of being a lesbian bar and ignoring and overcharging their patrons. The food, besides getting cold because I couldn’t get condiments, was awful. The “vegan” food tasted like rubber and the fries, as I mentioned, were so salty they couldn’t be consumed...
Read moreAmazing and calm dining experience with enjoyable food and cocktails. I am thankful for this space as there is not many like it.
Food is fresh and delicious. I wouldn’t go here super hungry but it’s a great place for a romantic or lunch dates.
The salad was sooooo good! Highly recommend with meat and not! I didn’t know the vegan popcorn chicken was mushroom 😭 personally not a mushroom fan. They felt a lil greasy but still yummy paired with the shoestring fries. Vegan dog was great as well and would order again. My fiancé enjoyed the wings and the chicken in the salad.
We both agree that the drinks could be a lil heavier (lol bad or good, not sure) but they are still well crafted cocktails and will be coming back again for the drinks and food!
The bar and atmosphere itself is CUTE! Enjoy the colors and music going on. Not loud and was able to enjoy conversation with my girl. They have games as well to help newer friends or couples break the ice. Great place for friends, lovers, and going alone.
For larger groups of like 5+ I think it would be respectful to call ahead of time as the space is smallish and there isn’t many large group tables
This is the echo park area and you just gotta take that with a grain...
Read moreI really want to like and support this place as a lesbian. The non vegan items look amazing, so it’s really unfortunate when they put in substantially less effort into their vegan options, especially with the stereotype of sapphics being vegan. I once ordered fries a minute before happy hour started, and the waitress didn’t tell me about the happy hour special or charge me a happy hour rate. It was only a dollar difference but it felt really shady. All the food is overpriced. The wine tastes pretty awful and is way overpriced. Their trivia is obscenely overpriced. They’re not very friendly with their male presenting patrons, and I’ve heard that a lot of BIPOC individuals have had bad experiences. They host cute free events at times, but unfortunately the place is so small that most people have to stand in the parking lot and can’t participate in the event. This is not their fault, but something to point out if you want to attend events — go early. They have a cute board you can post sticky notes on. All in all this place feels like a cash grab banking off the novelty of it being a sapphic space. I wish that it was more accessible, as it feels like it’s primarily serving the...
