Pizzana — Restaurant in Los Angeles

Picture it: Friday night. 8pm. Family in town. Where do we decide to go for a late dinner? Pizzana! Party of 7? Don’t want to risk not being able to be sat! Throw in 2 reservations, one for 4, one for 3, thankfully they have the Google reservations enabled! 3 cars and some traffic jams later, the first of us arrive and fight to find parking. I go in! “Hi! I’m a little early but I wanted to give you a heads up, we have 2 reservations in because the party total is 7 - is it at all possible for us to be sat together?” I ask Zoey, knowing I was asking for a lot on a busy Friday night. “Let me just move some things around! I think we can make it work!” Kindness and understanding through the whole conversation. So sweet! We have one big table! YAY! They kindly let us sit at our table and wait for the rest of the party to arrive. Zach was patient, helpful, and all smiles with us through several rounds of orders - drinks, wine, antipasti (the heirloom tomatoes in the caprese were to DIE for), more drinks, pizzas, desert. Jose helped and made delicious cocktails all night! There’s nothing quite like sharing an outstandingly delicious and quality meal, served by gracious hosts, with people you love to completely to make your heart fill with joy. Food was great, I’ll say that! Disappointing experience with service tho. Our waiter left while we were there (no big deal) but no one ever came over to introduce themselves as a new server. Had to wave repeatedly and try to get the attention of a different server for anything. We were the only table at one point and a max of 5 tables at the busiest, so it wasn’t an issue of the waiter being too slammed to help us. Also I had indicated it was a birthday on the reservation and when I ordered cake no candle or any sign that they read that note was apparent. Then the waiter brought the bill without asking if we wanted anything else, we were going to order another round of drinks but we just paid and went to another bar. Food: BEST.ARTICHOKE.SALAD.EVER. And I can't stress that enough. Excellent balance in flavours and textures and if it was socially acceptable, I'd probably order 2 of these next time... for myself. We also had the Margherita and Bianca pizzas. The Margherita was delicious but that Bianca... 🤌🤌🤌. It was the best white pizza I'd ever had. The sausage they use is absolutely delicious and balanced so well with the sauce and onions. Would def come back for the food.

Service: made reservations online which was super easy. Seated right away and immediately served. We were checked on periodically but it was never overbearing. We were the last table of the night but we never felt rushed. Overall excellent service.
