The Thyme Pizzeria — Restaurant in Los Angeles

For a place that is not exclusively vegan, they offer literally an entire vegan menu with everything you could possibly want from specialty pizza (we got the Barbeque Chik'n here) to build your own options. Outside of the Barbecue Chik'n which had a very nice topping of cilantro that was incredibly appreciated, their Signature Gourmet is also fantastic. I especially love their crust which has some great seasoning while still being perfectly crunchy yet soft. And for dessert they offer a few different vegan options making vegans feel like they are genuinely included and cared for as opposed to simply an afterthought. I had their flan and carrot cake both of which were great. The cake was fluffy and spiced and the only thing I could ask for is more of their tart frosting. The moment I walked in, I was greeted with a friendly smile. It smelled good inside. I was getting a pizza to go. Next I was asked if I needed a regular menu or vegan menu. Very nice, now I know I can find vegan pizza in the valley for vegan friends after 11pm. I ordered the signature, Thyme pizza. It was ready quite promptly. When I finally got it home, I was happily surprised that it tasted so wonderful. The pizza is spicy, red sauce had good flavor, nice amount of toppings and the crust was so yummy. Just right! So the restaurant itself probably seats less than 20 and the parking lot is small. Because I was there later at night, it wasn't a problem. Funny thing, I haven't had pizza in a very long time, and when I ordered the 16" large Thyme Signature Gourmet Vegan Pizza, it didn't seem like a large, because my memory was going by pizza sizes from way back in the 80's (lol), when a large was around 18"-20". So I measured it, and it was exactly 16" :-D . I have to admit, for a "vegan" version, it was very delicious! Not sure how much sodium it had though, but I guess having it once in a while wouldn't be so bad, if you're watching your sodium intake. I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars because it's expensive (with my budget), but then again, so are a lot of other things out there nowadays. I also ordered their vegan Wings "Nuggets", it was so-so, the BBQ sauce made it tasty. So, my 2 item order made a $42.12 dent...
