YESS SIRR! Absolutely delicious and a perfect lunch date with my bestie!

We were running some errands together and since my breakfast came from 7-11 I asked if she wanted to try this place with me. She was hesitant but still came with me. She was sooo annoying about vegan food. She had no hope; she was extremely pessimistic (_), but she likes it! I don't know about love, but I certainly did love my order. The Tropical Pancakes with Hashbrowns and Soy Chicken was amazing! I've been craving pancakes and this place definitely settled that craving. I love fruits in my pancakes, so win-win! The hashbrowns were different but in a great way! It wasn't as burnt nor oily as what I'm used to. It was a tad bit more potato-y, but the seasoning SOLD ME! It was seasoned to the Gods! That salt, peeper and I think basil? grand slammed in my mouth. Yummmmm! The dessert: Carrot Cake didn't do it for me. The frosting was good, but the foundation wasn't as moist nor soft. It gave very much individually wrapped store-bought Carrot Cake vibez. Not for me. I didn't rush to finish it. I definitely stuck to the main course of my pancakes, "chicken", and hashbrowns.

Bestie got the Garlic Burger I think, one of the burgers and she loved it! But, she sure loved the soy chicken a lot more. She was hella surprised that it wasn't chicken. If I had a $1 for every time she said, "This isn't chicken?" (_)... haha. I'm not sure if she touched her side salad, but she also enjoyed her Chocolate Cake.

Overall, sucked that we couldn't physically eat there without proof of vaccination/negative Covid test but, we found a bench inside of the San Pedro Wholesale Mart and ATE GOOOD!...

TLDR: don't get any of the "burritos" or wraps. Expect to pay well for very little food unless you get the chicken and waffles.

The staff was professional and the food is not worth the price. Three dishes for over 40 bucks. Even for Vegan food the price felt excessive for the quantity and quality.

The "burrito" was the size of my hand and only 1/2 full. I am assuming it is that way because it was an open burrito on the bottom and top. It felt more like I was eating a taco with a soft shell to large for the filling so they attempted to wrap it.

The wrap was more of what I was expecting. The filling was good and the souce that came with it made the wrap worth eating but not amazing.

Finally I had the chicken and waffles. For the quantity the price was actually good. The quality is not amazing but definitely way better then the first two. This dish is the only reason they are getting 3 stars...

Ok so I called to order the vegan pancakes online they were priced at $7.95 in store on the menu they were $8.95. Upon arriving at the store to pickup. The guy up front was on a personal call which had me waiting about 5 minutes. He finally checks in with me takes my payment and with my hand out decides to put the card on the counter (ok Covid maybe but I think more so bad customer service) anyway he tells me I don’t need to sign and I can go ahead. Something told me to CHECK MY ACCOUNT and for whatever reason he charged me $11.76 for TWO PANCAKES. (That I might add had a bit of a floury taste..maybe the base used idk but it wasn’t the best). all in all I will not be going back. Between the service, OVER CHARGE and general lack luster of the food it just wasn’t worth it! BE CAREFUL. ALWAYS GET YOUR RECEIPT AND CONFIRM PRICE!!! No matter how...

šŸ“THE VEGAN JOINT (DTLA) 🌱I recently went to @theveganjoint and it is safe to say that this might be my favorite vegan spot in SoCal! I loved wide and diverse range of choices they offered, there is definitely something for everyone here! The Vegan Joint specializes in Thai/Mexican/American vegan food, and they do it so well. I took my vegan friend with me and she also loved it so much. Everything here is so delicious, filling and very high quality. I will be coming back for sure. I really want to try their curry dishes and other appetizers šŸ˜‹šŸ˜‹ MUST GET DISHES - šŸ— Hot Drum Sticks: This was insanely flavorful and was a fun twist to chicken wings. The sauce that coated the chicken was spicy, tangy and sweet…very delicious. I loved how creamy and thick the ranch was. Must order! 9/10 - šŸ”Chicken Nachos: I did not expect myself to like this as much as I did! The tortilla chips were fried fresh, and the seasoning on the chicken was insanely umami. I loved the jalapeƱos and other ingredients on the nachos as well, it all went together so well. The salsa was also good with the perfect amount of spice to it. I couldn’t believe this was vegan! 8.7/10 #wandyeats #theveganjoint #vegan #veganfood #dtla #laeats #dinela #lafoodies #laeats #socaleats @The Vegan Joint

I had the pleasure of visiting The Vegan Joint in LA, and let me just say — I was blown away! First off, the drum stick wings were an absolute 10/10! The texture was spot on, the sauce was perfectly balanced, and they were so good I went back the very next day just for them. Easily one of my new favorite vegan dishes in LA! The chocolate chip pancakes were also amazing — fluffy, sweet, and super filling. Definitely hit the spot for a comfort brunch vibe. The sweet potato fries were solid, maybe an 8/10 for me. Good flavor and crispness, but I’d probably try something else next time. Still worth a try if you love fries! Overall, such a great spot with delicious vegan options — I’ll definitely be back for those wings again!
