Globe Theatre Los Angeles — Attraction in Los Angeles

The owner was rude and aggressively violent toward me, a woman. During a music event at this venue, my husband and I and our married friends had just entered the place, and within the first five minutes of our arrival, the owner of the place pushed through the crowd and bumped against me, roughly. I am a woman and he is significantly larger than me. Somehow in his rage or confusion, he proceeded to yell profanities in my face and tell me not to push him. I thought he was a patron who had too much liquor. I was greatly disappointed to find out he was the owner. He further used his ownership to intimidate me and my fellow guests, and told us to "meet him outside". Not knowing who he was, we ignored him and tried not to engage with his aggressive behavior. He then had his bouncer approach and threaten me and my guests. We were so sickened by the whole situation, we immediately decided not to stay and asked for our money back, as we had literally just walked in for five minutes. He refused to refund us after he was the arbiter of the abuse. I am reporting him to the Better Business Bureau and I would greatly discourage anyone from patroning this venue, especially women, if they don't want to be subjected to this volatile behavior that is facilitated by the very owner...

It is basically a nightclub not a theater and it changes from one night to the next based on the different Club promoters that come in. The drinks are extremely expensive a beer alone is 6 to $8 a Coke or a club soda is 4 to 5 and I believe they have a $10 cover charge in general but that changes with each individual promoter. The bathrooms are very difficult to get to since you have to walk down two flights of stairs. There is a wheelchair access elevator to take you down to the level with the bathrooms and there is a smoking patio off to the left side of the club which tends to get very very full. Overall it is not in a very good area of downtown and you may have to park your car several blocks away and there are many one-way streets that make it very difficult to go back and around looking for parking as some of them do not go completely through to a major thoroughfare and some of them do so it is best to use your Navigator while you're...

Other than me and everyone being delayed going inside past the time the doors was supposed to open also one of the security guards harassed me on the second night I came to the event at the globe. The security i believe his name was Roger just came in the back stage VIP section and picked on me out of everyone in back telling me I wasn't supposed to be back there after I showed proof that I paid my money for the package and got a new wristband of the same color i had the first night I was there. The security accused me of lying so I talk to the manager of the globe and he helped straighten the situation out I'm very thankful though the security guard didn't apologize. The bestest part was me seeing El Debarge whom I 💙 for two nights also meet and greet experiences but I don't know for sure if I would ever return to the globe unless El Debarge is there and praying the staff and everything is...
