This place barely deserves the one star I had to rate it. It's in a dangerous area in town; if you leave your window open you constantly hear shouting, hourly sirens from various emergency vehicles, and what I can only describe as the sound of gun shots. The parking is stupid expensive, but the valet workers were good. When you first enter the lobby you will notice the nice design and almost...fancy...look to it. Well, I was staying on the 7th floor and when I got off the elevator it felt like I walked out of a portal to a different dimension. You almost feel like you entered a motel in a third world country. It was filthy and cramped. The hallways smelled like the inside of Porto-Pottys of the public bathrooms and questionable showers. Our room could barely fit our bed in it; we had to actually turn our be to the side to make space. There was no air conditioning; the ceiling fan barely kept us breathing. The plug in fan that was available made a heart-stopping screeching sound so we had to choose between not being able to sleep because of the sound or not being able to sleep because of the stifling heat. I wouldn't be surprised if the bed had bed bugs. I chose to sleep on the ground with my sleeping bag, but I don't recommend it. The room's shower was practically above the toilet; its curtain was pointless since no more than one person can fit in there at a time. We were given only one room key for 4 people and were provided more after inquiring. The front desk service was poor; they didn't seem to care at all. The breakfast was SHOCKINGLY okay and the shower SHOCKINGLY provided hot water. They provide free wifi but the connection is so slow it's practically nonexistent. We should have only payed about a third of the actual cost. I DO NOT RECOMMEND STAYING HERE UNLESS IT IS YOUR LAST OPTION. Unfortunately for us, it WAS our...
Read moreLMAO ok guys my fiancé and I stayed here in August of 2012 for 3 nights. The hotel was literally ok. When we booked this hotel we had NO IDEA whatsoever about the history. But it was not nice at all the min we walked in we got a weird vibe maybe it was the old vintage design it felt wired I immediately did t want to stay.(btw the lobby decor did not match the halls and the rooms at all) Anyhow we also had ok service at the lobby took a while to get checked in. The elevator took a while as well to close and get us to our floor. Once we got to our floor we seen a shower room thought it was off but when we entered our room we notice the shower was down the hall and there was only one shower for the entire floor 🤮🤮 the room was small had a sink and an old tv. It literally looked like a luxury jail cell. It was ugly plain and simple. About the water we didn’t taste. It looked clear brown so we had decided to brush our teeth with water bottles from the lobby store, we didn’t think much of it at the time. Any how over all I would not come back but we made the best out of the trip and new we weren’t in LA for the hotel we just slept, showered and left. This was our honesty true experience
With so many hotels here is what this hotel did and didn’t have. No AC No pool (not that we knew of) No gym (not that we knew of) No personal shower No cable No WiFi No mirror (this was frustrating for a girl) No coffee (it did but there was a mission to get it) These are just some of the basic things most hotels we have stayed in had that this hotel didn’t. For the same price.
Anyhow I can’t wait to see the new renovations not that I’ll book but would...
Read moreOK, Lets leave some feed back here. I booked on line at 65.00 and the program gave me the wrong day. When I changed the day to the very next day mind you, it jumped 10.00. That was before taxes as well! Today as I leave feed back Google map displayes the correct price and I was wondering if there is a way for the google program to display prices based on cookies on my computer ? Who knows, google is out of control in that department. So anyways, I booked with a shared bathroom. I got into the LA area around 2 am and let me tell you this ..... it is scary in this location. I am talking 3rd world crap! To top it all off, No Frackin parking availible. I paid 15.00 to park the car from 2 am until 7 am. My god this "Cheap" room is getting expensive now.... So I check in, and the customer service was fine. Very nice people at the counter if I do say so. I get a 12th floor room, and make my way up. Lets talk about this bathroom now. The bathroom was not just shared ! The bathroom was Army style - 10 more points. One shower stall in the hallway and one bathroom stall for the entire floor ! What is this ? Shared my A$$. Shared bathroom in the army is like a bathroom per two rooms, and an entire latrine for a barraks. I think the advertisment needs to say "Good luck getting into the bathroom"! Ok, so that bathroom situation really sucks. Now, there is a door connecting me and the room next to me. Security issue ? Maybe ? Noise issue ? Hell yeah! This guy snored a storm! This was just crazy. Spend your money and go to a real hotel. The cheap gets expensive ! I give this place two thumbs...
